D1 Arrive in Urumqi – Urumqi City Tour
Arrive in Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang, where your local guide and driver will meet you at the airport or railway station.
Depending on your arrival time, begin your Xinjiang journey with a city tour. Visit Red Hill Park, one of Urumqi’s best-known landmarks, and enjoy views over the city.
Later, explore the lively Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar, where you can browse local handicrafts, traditional textiles, dried fruits, spices and other regional specialties while experiencing the diverse cultural atmosphere of Xinjiang.
After sightseeing, transfer to your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening.

D2 Urumqi – Tianshan Tianchi – Karamay
After breakfast, drive approximately 1.5 hours from Urumqi to Tianshan Tianchi (Heavenly Lake).
Located in the eastern Tianshan Mountains, Tianchi is a beautiful alpine lake surrounded by forested mountains and snow-covered peaks. The clear blue-green water, lush forests and dramatic mountain scenery create one of the most picturesque landscapes in northern Xinjiang.
Take a leisurely walk around the scenic area and enjoy the peaceful highland scenery. On a clear day, you may also have views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks reflected in the lake.
In the afternoon, continue driving westward toward Karamay, an important city in northern Xinjiang known for its oil industry and spectacular desert landscapes.

D3 Karamay – Ghost City – Burqin – Wucai Beach
After breakfast, continue your journey toward Burqin, traveling through the distinctive landscapes of northern Xinjiang.
Visit Karamay Ghost City, a spectacular natural landscape formed by wind erosion in the Gobi Desert. The area is famous for its unusual rock formations, which have been shaped by wind over thousands of years. With a little imagination, the rocks resemble castles, towers, animals and other mysterious figures.
Continue toward Burqin and, in the late afternoon, visit Wucai Beach (Five-Colored Beach), famous for its colorful rock formations and the contrasting landscape created by the river, desert and diversifolia poplar trees.
In the evening, take a walk along China-Russia Folk Customs Street in Burqin and experience the town’s distinctive blend of Chinese and Russian cultural influences.

D4 Burqin – Hemu Village – Jiadengyu
After breakfast, drive to Hemu Village, one of the most beautiful destinations in northern Xinjiang.
Hemu is famous for its traditional wooden houses, peaceful mountain valleys, birch forests and the Hemu River. Take a leisurely walk through the village and enjoy the distinctive architecture and natural scenery.
For a panoramic view, climb to a viewpoint above the village and look down over the wooden houses scattered among the surrounding forests and mountains. The scenery is particularly spectacular in autumn, when the birch forests turn golden.
In the late afternoon, continue to Jiadengyu, the main gateway to Kanas Scenic Area.

D5 Jiadengyu – Kanas Lake – Burqin
After breakfast, head to Kanas Scenic Area, one of the most spectacular natural destinations in northern Xinjiang.
Visit the beautiful Kanas Lake, surrounded by dense forests, alpine meadows and snow-capped mountains. Head to Guanyutai (Viewing Fish Pavilion) for a panoramic view of the lake and surrounding landscape.
You can also enjoy a short hike or leisurely walk through the forest and along the lakeside, taking in the peaceful scenery and fresh mountain air.
After exploring Kanas, leave the scenic area and drive back to Burqin for the night.

D6 Burqin – Keketuohai National Park – Fuyun
After breakfast, drive to Keketuohai National Park, a spectacular natural area known for its deep valleys, clear rivers, granite formations and forest-covered mountains.
Enjoy a scenic walk through the park and admire the beautiful combination of alpine forests, rocky peaks and the river flowing through the valley. The scenery changes dramatically with the seasons, making Keketuohai an excellent destination for nature lovers and photographers.
In the late afternoon, continue to Fuyun County and check in to your hotel.

D7 Fuyun – Gurbantünggüt Desert – Urumqi
After breakfast, begin the long drive back to Urumqi.
En route, travel through the vast Gurbantünggüt Desert, the largest fixed and semi-fixed desert in China. The desert landscape features extensive sand dunes, gravel plains and sparse vegetation, offering a striking contrast to the mountains and forests visited earlier in the journey.
Continue toward Urumqi and enjoy the changing scenery as you cross northern Xinjiang.
Arrive in Urumqi in the late afternoon and check in to your hotel.

D8 Urumqi Departure
After breakfast, your guide and driver will transfer you to Urumqi Airport or railway station according to your departure schedule.
