The Golden Temple Park is one of Kunming’s most famous historical gardens and a paradise for camellia lovers. The park features a large camellia garden covering approximately 67 hectares, with around 1,200 varieties of camellias, making it one of the largest camellia collections in the world.
During the annual Camellia Festival, the garden becomes filled with colorful blossoms, attracting visitors who come to admire different varieties of camellias and enjoy the peaceful scenery of the historic park.

Zixi Mountain in Chuxiong has a camellia cultivation history of nearly 1,000 years and is one of the important camellia destinations in Yunnan. It was also one of the venues of the 2012 International Camellia Congress.
