Yuanyang Rice Terraces, located in the south of Ailao Mountain in Yuanyang County, 
Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province, is a great masterpiece left by Hani people for generations. It is a wonder of terraced farming civilization created by Hani ethnic groups with the special geographical climate. It is grand scale and magnificent. Hani people in Yuanyang adjust with the mountain terrain when they built the rice terraces, either in large fields or in the small fields, and even in the stone gaps under the gully. Therefore, the terraced fields may be a hundres square meters, or only a large dustpan, but mostly it is with thousands of acres on the mountain slope.

Yuanyang Rice Terraces are mainly composed by three big scenic spots: Bada Scenic Area (including Qingkou, Qufuzhuang village, Mali village, continuous more than 14000 acres of terraces), Tiger mouth Scenic area (including Mengping, Xipu, Amengkon, Baoshanzhai village, nearly 6000 acres of terraces),and Duoyishu Scenic area (including Duoyishu village, Aichun Village, Dawa villages, covering tens of thousands of acres of terraces). So many terraced fields covering by the vast forest and cloud sea, constitute a magical and magnificent landscape.
Yuanyang Rice Terraces are widely distributed, in addition to the above three scenic spots, and there are more villages with thousands of acres of rice terraces. They are in different shapes, distinctive, but because of the poor road condition and long distance, few tourists reached.

Qingkou Folk village
Qingkou Hani Folk Village is located in Yuanyang Terraces National Wetland Park

In accordance with Duoyishu Rice Terrace scenic area is located in the yuanYang terrace national wetland park. It is located at an altitude of 1900 meters, 650 hectares of terrace in accordance with Duoyishu village, Aichun village and Dashuzhe Village in the hill of 25 to 50 hillside. It is the best destination for viewing of the sea of clouds terraces and sunrise. Bada Rice Terraces
Bada Rice Terraces Scenic Spot have more than 950 hectares of magnificent terraced fields. Bada terraces are spectacular, with beautiful lines and a strong three-dimensional sense. From the Malizhai River, 800 meters above sea level, thousands of layers of terraces stretch to the top of the mountain 2,000 meters above sea level. They seems to lift the Hani villages of Malizhai, Bada, Shangmadian, and Quanfuzhuang high into the sea of clouds. More than 3,700 terraced fields are like a ladder, straight to the sky. The terraced fields are golden and silver at sunset. They are the best scenic spot to watch and photograph the sea of clouds terraces, sunset and copyzhai.
