Located in Jiuxiang Yi and Hui Ethnic Township, Yiliang County, Yunnan Province, about 90 kilometers northeast of Kunming, Jiuxiang Scenic Area is one of the most famous natural attractions in Yunnan. A Geological Wonder Formed Over Hundreds of Millions of Years
The Jiuxiang cave system was formed from ancient marine deposits dating back approximately 600 million years to the Sinian Period. Through long-term geological evolution and water erosion, a vast underground world with hundreds of caves has developed.
According to geological research, Jiuxiang contains numerous rare karst formations, including:
