Wuyuan
 Jiangling canola flower fields in Wuyuan JiangxiLocated in the northeastern corner of Jiangxi Province, near the borders of Jiangxi, Anhui, and Zhejiang provinces, Wuyuan County is widely known as “China’s Most Beautiful Countryside.”
Blessed with green mountains, clear rivers, ancient villages, and well-preserved traditional architecture, Wuyuan offers one of the finest examples of harmony between nature and traditional Chinese rural life.
With a history dating back more than 1,000 years, many villages in Wuyuan preserve ancient buildings from the Tang, Song, Ming, and Qing dynasties. Thanks to its remote location, Wuyuan’s traditional villages have remained remarkably intact, allowing visitors to experience authentic countryside scenery and historic culture.
Among all the scenic spots in Wuyuan, Jiangling, Moon Bay, and Likeng Village are three of the most popular destinations.

Jiangling: The Best Place to Enjoy Wuyuan’s Canola Flower Fields
Jiangling Scenic Area is one of the most famous viewpoints in Wuyuan and is especially renowned for its spectacular canola flower fields in spring.
Every year from March to April, when the golden canola flowers bloom across the mountains, Jiangling becomes one of the most beautiful rural landscapes in China.
From the viewing platforms, visitors can admire a breathtaking panorama featuring:
* Golden flower fields covering the hillsides
* Traditional Huizhou-style villages
* White walls and black-tiled roofs
* Terraced farmland and winding rivers
The combination of colorful flowers, green mountains, and traditional villages creates a picturesque landscape often described as a natural painting.

Jiangling canola flower fields in Wuyuan JiangxiA Perfect Harmony Between Nature and Village Life
One of Jiangling’s greatest charms is the harmonious relationship between people and nature.
Terraced fields extend from the valley floors to the mountain slopes, while ancient trees, rivers, farmhouses, and farmland blend together beautifully.
The scenery of Jiangling has attracted photographers from around the world and has become one of the most iconic images representing rural China.
Besides sightseeing, visitors can also experience local folk culture through traditional art displays and countryside activities.
For photography lovers, Jiangling is considered one of the best places in China to capture the beauty of spring landscapes.

Moon Bay: A Picturesque Riverside Landscape
Located near Wuyuan’s countryside villages, Moon Bay (Yueliang Bay) is a beautiful crescent-shaped island formed by a bend in the river.
The small island in the middle of the water resembles a bright moon, which gives the scenic spot its name.
Moon Bay is especially charming in spring, when the surrounding canola flowers bloom and create a stunning scene of golden fields, clear water, and traditional villages.
Visitors can enjoy:
* Riverside scenery
* Traditional farming landscapes
* Photography opportunities
* Peaceful countryside atmosphere
It is an ideal stop for travelers exploring the natural beauty of Wuyuan.

Located in Wuyuan County, Likeng Village is one of the most famous ancient villages in the region.
Originally established during the late Song Dynasty (960–1279), Likeng has a history of more than 800 years. The village is known for its beautiful landscapes, rich cultural traditions, and well-preserved Huizhou-style architecture.
The village features:
* Traditional white-walled houses with black-tiled roofs
* Ancient stone lanes
* Wooden carvings and historic residences
* Peaceful streams flowing through the village
Because of its beautiful scenery and traditional atmosphere, Likeng has become a popular location for films and television productions.

The Birthplace of Neo-Confucian Culture
Likeng is also famous for its connection with Zhu Xi (1130–1200), one of the most influential Neo-Confucian philosophers in Chinese history.
During the Song Dynasty, education and Confucian learning flourished in the village. Local residents followed Zhu Xi’s teachings, and Likeng became associated with the development of Neo-Confucian culture.
Today, visitors can experience not only the beauty of the village but also its deep historical and cultural heritage.

Why Visit Jiangling, Moon Bay and Likeng?
Together, Jiangling, Moon Bay, and Likeng Village represent the best of Wuyuan’s countryside:
Spectacular spring canola flower fields
Traditional Huizhou architecture
Peaceful rural landscapes
World-famous photography scenery
Rich historical and cultural heritage
For travelers seeking an authentic experience beyond China’s major cities, these destinations provide a perfect introduction to the beauty, traditions, and timeless charm of Jiangxi’s countryside.
