Guangxi Ethnic Relics Center
Located in Nanning City, the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Guangxi Ethnic Relics Center is a fascinating cultural attraction that showcases the traditional lifestyles, architecture, and customs of Guangxi’s diverse ethnic groups. Covering an area of approximately 24,000 square meters, the center is located next to the Museum of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The center features traditional architectural styles from various ethnic minorities, allowing visitors to experience the unique cultural heritage of Guangxi. Highlights include the Ganlan-style wooden houses of the Zhuang ethnic group, bamboo buildings of the Yao people, stilt houses built over water by the Miao people, as well as the famous drum towers and wind-and-rain bridges of the Dong ethnic group.
Inside these traditional buildings, visitors can see a wide range of exhibits, including everyday household items, traditional tools, and exquisite handicrafts that reflect the customs and craftsmanship of different ethnic communities.
In addition to cultural displays, the center also offers opportunities to experience local flavors. Restaurants featuring different ethnic cuisines are located inside the bamboo buildings, serving visitors a variety of traditional dishes and specialties with distinctive regional flavors.
Combining architecture, folk traditions, handicrafts, and cuisine, the Guangxi Ethnic Relics Center is an excellent place to learn about the rich multicultural heritage of Guangxi and experience the diverse ethnic traditions of southern China.
