Xiapu
Located in Ningde City, Fujian Province, on the northeastern coast of China, Xiapu County is internationally renowned as one of the country’s premier photography destinations. Beiqi Tidal Flats
The Beiqi Tidal Flats are Xiapu’s most iconic attraction and one of China’s most photographed coastal landscapes.
Beiqi is famous for its extensive seaweed (laver) farms, where rows of bamboo poles stretch across the tidal flats, creating striking geometric patterns. During high tide, fishing boats weave between the seaweed racks against a backdrop of distant mountains and islands. As the tide recedes, the exposed mudflats reveal beautiful natural textures often compared to abstract paintings.

Yangjiaxi Scenic Area
Often called the “Little Wuyi Mountains of Eastern Fujian,” Yangjiaxi Scenic Area offers a completely different landscape from Xiapu’s coastline.
The crystal-clear Yangjia Stream flows gently through ancient forests, where visitors can enjoy peaceful bamboo rafting surrounded by lush mountain scenery.

Perched between mountains and the sea, Dongbi offers panoramic views over the coastline, where winding tidal channels create elegant curves across the mudflats. As the evening sun paints the landscape in shades of gold and orange, the beaches become a spectacular canvas of light and shadow.
