Day 1: Xiapu Arrival – Xuyu’ao Fishing Village & Salt Fields
Meet your local photography guide in Xiapu in the morning and begin your Xiapu photography tour with a visit to the salt fields of Xuyu’ao. This coastal area is well known for its traditional fishing culture, tidal landscapes, and picturesque salt fields.
Take your time photographing local fishermen at work, traditional fishing activities, and the unique scenery along the coast. The changing light and reflections on the water provide excellent opportunities for landscape and documentary photography.
Overnight in Xiapu.
Day 2: Beiqitan – Yangjiaxi – Xiaohao – Xishan – Dongbi
Rise early and head to Beiqitan Beach to photograph the sunrise. The beach and surrounding coastline offer beautiful views at first light, making it one of the popular photography locations around Xiapu.
After sunrise, continue to Yangjiaxi, famous for its ancient banyan trees and rural landscapes. Photograph the old trees, traditional countryside, and peaceful village scenery.
In the afternoon, visit Xiaohao and Xishan for coastal photography. The changing tides, fishing boats, mudflats, and distant hills create a variety of compositions as the light changes.
In the evening, head to Dongbi to photograph the sunset over Xiapu’s coastline and tidal flats.

Day 3: Mantou Hill – Bo Ethnic Minority Village – Shajiang
Start early and head to Mantou Hill for sunrise photography. From the hilltop, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding coastline and capture the soft morning light over the landscape.
After sunrise, continue to the Bo Ethnic Minority Village, where you can photograph traditional village houses and the historic settlement dating from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The old architecture and quiet village atmosphere offer excellent opportunities for cultural and architectural photography.
In the afternoon, travel to Shajiang to photograph the famous fishing village and its distinctive coastal scenery. Stay until sunset to capture the changing colors of the sky and the reflections across the water.

Day 4: Fuding – Traditional Fishing Nets & Old Oil Mill
Today, travel to Fuding for photography focused on traditional coastal fishing culture. Photograph the traditional fishing nets and fishing activities that have been part of the local way of life for generations.
These traditional fishing practices are changing rapidly, making this a valuable opportunity to document the area’s disappearing coastal heritage.
In the afternoon, visit an old traditional oil mill to photograph its historic buildings, equipment, and traditional production environment.
Overnight in Fuding.
Day 5: Beidou Sunrise – Departure
Get up early and head to Beidou for your final sunrise photography session. Capture the morning light over the coastline and surrounding fishing landscape.
After the photography session, return for breakfast and prepare for departure, marking the end of your 5-day Xiapu photography tour.
