Daming Mountain
Located in the northeast of Wuming County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Daming Mountain (Daming Shan) is a spectacular natural attraction about 104 kilometers from Nanning along National Highway 210. Known for its pleasant climate, rich vegetation, and ever-changing scenery, Daming Mountain is one of the most popular mountain destinations near Nanning.
With an average elevation of around 1,200 meters and a mountain height of approximately 1,900 meters, Daming Mountain enjoys a cool and comfortable climate, with an average annual temperature of about 16°C. Influenced by the South Asian tropical monsoon and the region’s unique terrain, temperatures on the upper mountain are generally 8–10°C lower than those at the foot of the mountain, making it an ideal summer escape.
The mountain features distinct seasonal landscapes throughout the year. In spring, visitors can enjoy misty mountain scenery; in summer, spectacular waterfalls and lush forests create a refreshing atmosphere; in autumn, clouds and colorful landscapes cover the peaks; while in winter, occasional snow scenes transform the mountain into a beautiful winter wonderland.
Because of its magnificent scenery and changing seasons, Daming Mountain has earned the reputation of “Lushan Mountain of Guangxi”, attracting visitors with its fresh air, natural beauty, and peaceful environment.
