French Priest Armand David firstly discovered Giant Panda in 1869 in Dengchigou valley of Baoxing county in Sichuan. And this tour will take you to Dengchigou valley tracing the route of David one houndred years ago. It is a tour of Giant Panda History, and also a tour of enjoying the real mountain and villages in China, and you will also have chance to learn about Tea culture of China in the Tea mountain.
 
Itinerary 1:
D1 Chengdu / Mt. Mengdingshan
Meet with your guide in Chengdu and then drive to Mt. Mengdingshan in the morning, enjoy the Sichuan plain and the beautiful Tea mountain en route. And then you will enter the Tea fields in Mt. Mengdingshan and learn how to pick-up tea with local tea farmer. They will also teach you how to make tea by pot. In the afternoon you will make two hour’s hiking tour in the Mengdingshan scenery, where you will watch the 1000 years’ old Royal Tea Tree, old temple and have a bird’s eye view on the top of the mountain. Descend the mountain in the afternoon, and stay night in local at the foot of the mountain.
 
D2 Mt. Mengdingshan - Dengchigou Valley - Baoxing
In the morning drive about 2 hour to Fengtongzhai Panda Nature Reserve, where you will visit the Dengchi valley, where the first Giant Panda was discovered by the French Priest Pere Armand David in 1869. In Dengchigou valley you will visit the Catholic church David worked, and the Museum of Giant Panda Origination will tell you more story of Giant Panda Discovery. And in the Panda Garden on the top of the mountain you will closely enjoy two giant Pandas feeding there.  Return to Baoxing city in the late afternoon, and night in local hotel.
 
D3 Baoxing - Chengdu
Return Chengdu in the morning in about 3 hours. End of the tour.
 
 
Itinerary 2:
D1 Chengdu / Mt. Mengdingshan - Baoxing

D2 Baoxing- Dengchigou Valley - Fengtongzhai Panda Nature Reserve - Siguniangshan Mountain
In the morning drive about half an hour to Dengchi valley, where you will visit the Dengchi valley, where the first Giant Panda was discovered by the French Priest Pere Armand David in 1869. In Dengchigou valley you will visit the Catholic church David worked, and the Museum of Giant Panda Origination will tell you more story of Giant Panda Discovery. And in the Panda Garden on the top of the mountain you will closely enjoy two giant Pandas feeding there. In the afternoon you will drive into Fengtongzhai Panda Nature Reserve and passby the Jiajinshan Mountain pass, and descend to Rilong at the foot of Siguniangshan mountain. Night in local hotel.
 
D3 Rilong - Wolong
The beautiful Sigujiangshan Mountain, also named Four Girls’ Mountain had its tales about four Tibetan girls protecting Giant Panda. And you will enter the Changping Valley to enjoy the beautiful snow peaks as well as valley in the morning. In the afternoon you will drive to Wolong Nature Reserve, which is the First Giant Panda Nature Reserve, also many wild Panda were saved in the villages around here. Night in local hotel.
 
D4 Wolong - Chengdu
In the morning you will visit the Chinese Giant Panda Garden, where many Giant Pandas were enjoying their life in the confotable palace with yards. It is a good chance to enjoy various pandas here. And their happiest time will be at the time of having meal. Please do ask for local staffs the time of feeding the bamboo.
Return Chengdu in the morning in about 3 hours, enjoy the mountain valley en route. End of the tour.
