Morning: Your Chengdu tour today starts in the early morning approximately 7:30, the guide and driver from China Exploration will pick up you at your hotel, and then head for the Giant Panda Breeding and Research Center in the suburb, just 10 kms north to Chengdu, where you can see the lovely pandas making various funny movement in eating and playing. It is a good chance to take picture of them when you walk in this wide garden of bamboo. What a pleasant experience.
After the visit of Panda Base, your driver will drive to Leshan city in about 2 hours on the express way. The wide spreading landscape of Chengdu Plain will not make the tour boring.
Noon: China Exploration always wants to arrange the special food to our clients. So today for your lunch, we recommend you delicious Xiba Bean curd banquet, one of the leshan famous foods.
Afternoon: Your tour guide will show you the wonder of "Buddha is the hill and the hill is a Buddha" at the other side of Minjiang river. Then walk up the Leshan Giant Buddha. Linyun temple will be visited firstly, which is to commemorate monk Hai tong who collected donation 1000 years ago under through extremely difficulties and started the construction of this huge works. Next you will walk down the zigzagging trail along the trail in the left side of Buddha. The Buddha is a small mountain, from it is head to shoulder, and from leg to foot, about 30 minutes hiking. Then hike up from its right side again. It is also a good place to view Leshan city cross the joint of Minjiang River, Dadu River and Qingyi River. Finally you will walk about 30 minutes to Wuyou temple, where you could enjoy the statue of 500 Arhats.
