Covering the area of 6640 square kilometers Ningxia Hui autonomous region is the largest Hui ethnic community in China with the population of 6.04 million people . At an altitude of 1100 meters Ningxia is the continental climate with the average annual rainfall from 190 to 70 millimeters .
Shapotou is located in the southeastern margin of the Tengger Desert in the western part of Zhongwei City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. About 38 km long, 5 km wide, 1300 to 1500 meters above sea level, with a total area of 4599.3 hectares, accounting for 3% of the total land area of Zhongwei City. It is one of the 20 key areas for sand control in the country. Shapotou includes desert, the Yellow River, mountains and oasis, with the magnificent scenery of the Northwest . There is China's largest natural sloping field . "the world's first cable" across the Yellow River .
Zhongwei Gao Temple is located in Zhongwei County North. Built in the contiguous city walls of the high platform. According to record, it was built in the Ming Yongle years (1403-1424 years), after many times of reconstruction , to the Qing Dynasty it has become a large-scale ancient buildings, showing the style of ancient buildings in Ningxia.

Day1 Yinchuan City Tour (lunch)
Your guide in Yinchuan will meet you at airport and then transfer you to hotel. In the afternoon you will make a city tour in Yinchuan, since Ningxia is the province for Muslim, so Nanguan Mosque is a big attraction in Yinchuan.
Day2 Yinchuan/ Shapotou (208Kms, about 2.5hours’ driving ) ( Breakfast, Lunch)
In the early morning, you will head for the Shapotou Nature Reserve in Zhongwei City. It is a reserve of desert and grassland zone possessing a lot of wild plants and animals. You can enjoy the beautiful view of sunset, bell rings of camel. And you can pay for extra money for a lot of interesting optional program such as Yellow River Rafting, camel riding, sand skiing, etc. Night in local hotel.
Day3 Zhongwei / Yinchuan ( Breakfast, Lunch)
Enjoy the pleasure of desert, and today we will visit the ancient Gaomiao Temple in Zhongwei county. This temple was built in the Qing Dynasty, showing us the special feature of Ningxia.
Drive back Yinchuan in the afternoon.
Day4 Yinchuan Departure ( Breakfast, )
After breakfast your guide in Yinchuan will send you to the airport. End of service.
Your guide in Yinchuan will meet you at airport and then transfer you to hotel. In the afternoon you will make a city tour in Yinchuan, since Ningxia is the province for Muslim, so Nanguan Mosque is a big attraction in Yinchuan.
