The Life and Legacy of Soong Ching Ling
Soong Ching Ling was born in Shanghai in January 1893. She was the wife of Sun Yat-sen, one of the key figures in China’s modern history.
Throughout her lifetime, Soong Ching Ling devoted herself to social welfare, women’s rights, children’s development, world peace, and scientific progress. She played an important role in modern Chinese history and was honored as the Honorary President of the People’s Republic of China.
She passed away in Beijing in 1981 at the age of 88. Her former residence in Shanghai preserves the memories of her personal life and public service, offering visitors a deeper understanding of her historical influence.
