Yuantouzhu
Yuantouzhu, also known as Turtle Head Isle, is one of the most famous attractions in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, and a National AAAAA Tourist Attraction in China. Located on the northwestern shore of Taihu Lake, the scenic area is widely recognized as “the most beautiful corner of Taihu Lake.”
The name Yuantouzhu comes from a natural rocky peninsula extending into the lake, which resembles the head of a giant turtle. With spectacular lake scenery, elegant Jiangnan-style gardens, traditional Chinese architecture, and seasonal flower landscapes, Yuantouzhu Scenic Area is one of the best places to experience the natural beauty and cultural charm of Taihu Lake.
 
A Historic Lakeside Scenic Area on Taihu Lake
The history of Yuantouzhu as a scenic destination dates back to the early 20th century, when private gardens, pavilions, and traditional buildings were constructed along the peninsula.
Over the decades, the area has been carefully developed and preserved, transforming it into one of the most iconic lakeside attractions in eastern China.

Cherry Blossom Valley
Yuantouzhu is internationally famous for its stunning Cherry Blossom Valley, which features thousands of cherry trees.
Every year from mid-March to early April, the blooming cherry blossoms cover the scenic area with shades of pink and white, creating one of the most spectacular spring landscapes in China.

Taihu Fairy Island (Sanshan Island)
