Lingshan Giant Buddha
Lingshan Giant Buddha is one of the most famous Buddhist landmarks in China and the centerpiece of Lingshan Scenic Area in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. Located near the picturesque Taihu Lake, the scenic area is one of the most important Buddhist cultural destinations in eastern China, attracting millions of visitors every year.
Standing at 88 meters (289 feet) tall, the magnificent bronze Sakyamuni Buddha statue is among the tallest outdoor Buddha statues in the world. Surrounded by green mountains, peaceful lakes, and beautifully designed gardens, Lingshan Giant Buddha combines Buddhist culture, traditional Chinese architecture, and stunning natural landscapes, making it one of the top Wuxi attractions.
 
A Symbol of Buddhist Culture and Spiritual Heritage
Completed in 1996, Lingshan Giant Buddha was created based on China’s long-standing Buddhist traditions and has become a symbol of peace, compassion, and wisdom.
The giant bronze statue was constructed using advanced casting techniques and stands majestically overlooking the surrounding countryside. Together with ancient-style temples, cultural halls, and scenic landscapes, it creates one of the most impressive Buddhist cultural sites in China.

Nine Dragons Bathing the Buddha
The Nine Dragons Bathing the Buddha is one of the most popular cultural performances in Lingshan Scenic Area.
During the show, a giant lotus flower slowly opens and reveals the statue of the infant Buddha, while water fountains, music, and special effects create a spectacular Buddhist ceremony. It is a memorable experience that combines traditional Buddhist stories with modern stage design.
 
Xiangfu Temple
Located beside the Giant Buddha, Xiangfu Temple is a peaceful Buddhist temple featuring traditional architecture, incense-filled courtyards, and quiet gardens.
