D1: Arrival in Shanghai – The Bund
Upon arrival at Shanghai Pudong International Airport or Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, your private guide and driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.
After checking in and taking some time to rest, visit The Bund, Shanghai’s iconic waterfront promenade along the Huangpu River.
Take a leisurely walk along the historic waterfront and admire the impressive collection of early 20th-century buildings on the Bund. Across the river, you can enjoy spectacular views of Shanghai’s modern skyline, including the Oriental Pearl Tower, Shanghai Tower, Jin Mao Tower, and Shanghai World Financial Center.
The Bund is one of the best places to experience the contrast between Shanghai’s historic architecture and its modern cityscape. If you visit in the evening, the illuminated skyline creates an especially impressive atmosphere.
After sightseeing, return to your hotel and rest.

D2: Shanghai Museum – Yuyuan Garden – Oriental Pearl Tower – Jade Buddha Temple – Xintiandi
After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and begin a full day of Shanghai sightseeing.
Start with the Shanghai Museum, one of China’s leading museums of ancient Chinese art and culture. Its collections include ancient Chinese bronzes, ceramics, calligraphy, paintings, jade, furniture, seals, coins, and other cultural artifacts. Explore the museum’s exhibitions and gain a deeper understanding of China’s long history and artistic traditions.
Next, visit Yuyuan Garden, a classical Chinese garden in Shanghai’s historic Old City. Originally built during the Ming Dynasty, the garden features elegant pavilions, rockeries, ponds, bridges, corridors, and traditional courtyards. Its combination of architecture and carefully designed natural landscapes makes it an excellent example of classical Jiangnan garden design.
Continue to the Oriental Pearl Tower, one of Shanghai’s most recognizable landmarks. Located beside the Huangpu River in the Lujiazui financial district, the tower offers panoramic views of Shanghai from its observation platforms. Take the elevator to one of the viewing levels and enjoy sweeping views over the Huangpu River, The Bund, and the city’s modern skyline.
After lunch, visit the Jade Buddha Temple, one of Shanghai’s best-known Buddhist temples. Despite its location in the heart of the city, the temple offers a peaceful environment away from the surrounding urban bustle. It is particularly famous for its jade Buddha statues and provides an opportunity to learn more about Chinese Buddhist traditions.
Finish the day at Xintiandi, a lively district that combines Shanghai’s historic Shikumen architecture with modern restaurants, cafés, shops, and entertainment venues. Take a leisurely walk through the pedestrian streets and experience the blend of old Shanghai and contemporary urban life.
After sightseeing, your guide and driver will transfer you back to your hotel.

After breakfast, enjoy some free time in Shanghai until your scheduled transfer.
At the appropriate time, your private guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to Shanghai Pudong International Airport or Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport for your onward flight.
