D1 Arrive in Hami
You can fly to Hami from Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing etc, or just take bullet train from Urumqi or Dunhuang. Make some city tours accordingly, such as the Hami Food Streets, Place of Hami King, etc.
D2 Hami - Dahaidao Yadan- Balikun
In the morning head to Dahaidao, which is a huge depopulated zone of Yadan landscape in desert, also called ghost town. You will enjoy various wonder of Yadan. In the late afternoon you will exit the desert, and then head to Balikun county by 2 hours’ driving.
D3 Balikun- Hami
In the morning you will enjoy the beautiful Balikun Grassland under Tianshan mountain, where you will enjoy the beautiful Tianshan mountain, cows and sheep feeding in the grassland quietly.
And then you will relax in the Gaojiahu Wet land, enjoy the grassland, lake, and farmland, and you can also make a horse riding here.
In in the late afternoon you will head to Hami city. Night in local hotel.
D4 Hami- Turpan
In the morning take 2 hours’ bullet train to Turpan.
In the afternoon you will explore the ruin of Jiaohe Ancient Town with over 2000 years’ history, but it is well reserved than Gaochang ruin. And then you will explore the magic Kaner Well channel under the ground.
D5 Turpan / Kashgar
In the morning you will head to Tuyugou valley, which is a well reserved village of Uyghur Muslim culture. And then you will head to the ruin of Gaochang Ancient Town, where you will trace the glorious Gaochang Kingdom 1000 years ago.
In the evening you will fly to Kashgar by 2 hours’ flight. Transfer to hotel.
D6 Kashgar City Tour
In the morning you will get up early to catch the Opening Ceremony of Kashgar Old Town, and then explore the old residency of Gaotai, which is the oldest section of Kashgar with strong middle east sense. The famous movie of The Kite Runner was shot here actually.
And then the rest of day you will explore the old town of Kashgar, from East town to West town, find anything beautiful and interesting. Also drop a tour in the Aitigar Mosque.
D7 Kashgar Departure
In the morning you will head to the Bazzar of cattle, which is the largest market for trading of cows, sheep, etc. And then you will visit the Muslim style garden of Xiangfei Garden which is to commemorate the Fragrant Concubine of Emperor. In the late afternoon or evening transfer to flight to other cities. End of the tour.
