D1 Kunming / Stone Forest / Xishan Hill Driving 3 hours
Your tour in Yunnan start from Kunming. Arrive in Kunming in the morning, and then your tour guide in Kunming will pick-up you and then head for Stone Forest in about 1.5 hour, where you will enjoy various beautiful stone peaks in this giant GEO national park, and the tale of Asima will make the tour of Stone Forest more intersting . In the afternoon you will return Kunming city, and then you will ascend beatiful and cultural West Hill to have a bird’s eye view of Kuming city and Dianchi Lake. And you will also learn more about the culture of Yunnan through the many traditional pavillion and calligraphy stablet in mountain.
D2 Kunming / Dali
In the morning you will make 2 hours’ bullet train tour to Dali. It is also a great pleasure to enjoy the beautiful landscape of mountain and plateau en route on the fast driving train. Meet with your tour guide in Dali, and then head for the ancient Three Pagoda Temple and start your tour in Dali, which will show you the long history of Buddhism culture in Yunnan through its three pogodas over 1000 years; history, and it is also a good place to enjoy the panaroma view of Erhai lake.
In the late afternoon you will have a leisure tour in the old town of Dali, where you will stroll on the ancient street. Ancient Bai people house, yards, and church, all could be discovery for you. And it is also a good place to buy various tourist souvenirs as well as enjoy delicious local food.
D3 Dali / Shaxi Old Town / Lijiang Driving 4 hours
In the morning you will head for Shuanglang old town on the bankside of Erhai Lake. You will enjoy beautiful Erhai closely, and Shuanglang Old Town is the best place to enjoy Erhai, and the Moon Palace and Sun Palace of Yangliping is the most famous building, therefore it has the reputation of the First Town around Erhai. Every building here is trying to show their exquisite beauty in maximum.
And then you will head for Shaxi old town between Dali and Lijiang in about 2 hours’ driving. It is said Shaxi was Lijiang old city 30 years ago, and its old stone road, and mud house and street, life in harmony and quietness, all will show you another beauty of primitive beauty. Sitting in the tea house with a cup of tea or coffe, just imagin the caravan of horses and herdman with goods traveling through this old town many years ago.
In the late afternoon continue driving to Lijiang, and you will stay in the beautiful Guesthouse in Suhe Old town out of the Lijaing city, which is out of noisy Lijiang town, beautiful and quiet for night.
D4 Lijiang Tour
In morning you will head for Jade Dragon Mountain in 30 minute’s driving, and your guide in Lijiang will take you to ascend the Yunshaping meadow (3240 ms ) or Yak meadow （3700 ms） to enjoy the beautiful Snow mountain by cable car. They are all good place to enjoy Jade Dragon Mountain when weather is good. And in the afternoon you will visit Baisha village in Lijiang. Baisha village is very rough in its building and street, but it is the origin of Naxi people and culture. And the exquisite embroidery of Baisha is the best in Yunnan.
In the evening you will visit Lijiang Old town, also named Dayan Old town, which is located in the city center, and evening is best time to visit Lijiang Old Town. In the net like streets and brooks, thousands of shops, restaurants, bars, guethouses are squized, it is an beautiful, noisy and prosperous old town, Wow, you would never meet so many shops in your life before!
D5 Lijiang / Tiger Leaping Gorge / Shangri-la Driving 4 hours
In the morning your guide in Lijiang will take you to Tiger Leaping Gorge by 2 hours’ driving, here you will see the amazing and tremendous power of Nature. Yangtze river rushed down from high land and cut open the mountain into Jade Dragon Mountain and Haba Snow mountain. And the surging river hit on huge rocks and bounced up sky of breaker. Try to make a hiking in Tiger Leaping Gorge, hiking in the trail and ridge of Tiger Leaping Gorge will be the challenge and experience you never forget.
In the late afternoon you will continue two hours’ overland tour and arrive in quiet Shangri-la city. Quiet, beautiful and cool, it is Shangri-la. Every building and street will show you the uniuqe culture of Tibetan here.
D6 Shangri-la Tour
There are many beautiful lakes, forests and snow peaks on Tibetan plateau, and Pudacuo National Park is one of the beautiful parks with pretty lakes and forest here. Your Shangri-la tour will start from Pudacuo National Park, in the morning your guide will bring you to have a tour in Pudacuo, and then back Shangri-la city in the afternoon, and then you will visit Sontanlin Monastery, which will show you the mistery of Tibetan Buddhism. In the late afternoon you can make a free walk on Dakezong old street.
