Day 1: Chengdu – Sanxingdui Museum – Chengdu Panda Base
(Lunch)
Your Chengdu exploration begins this morning. Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive approximately 1 hour to the Sanxingdui Museum, one of the most fascinating archaeological discoveries in China.
Located in Guanghan, near Chengdu, the Sanxingdui Ruins reveal the mysterious Ancient Shu Civilization that flourished more than 3,000 years ago. Often regarded as one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of the 20th century, Sanxingdui provides a unique perspective on the development of early Chinese civilization.
At the museum, you will explore impressive exhibition halls displaying thousands of priceless artifacts unearthed from the site, including magnificent bronze masks, bronze statues, gold objects, jade articles, pottery, and ancient tools.
The unusual designs and mysterious expressions of the famous Sanxingdui bronze masks offer a fascinating insight into the beliefs, artistic achievements, and cultural creativity of the ancient Shu people.
Located in the northern suburb of Chengdu, the panda base is one of the best places in China to observe giant pandas. Here, you can watch these adorable animals eating bamboo, climbing trees, and playing in their spacious natural environment.
The green bamboo gardens surrounding the panda habitats create a peaceful atmosphere and offer excellent photography opportunities.
With a donation supporting panda conservation, visitors may even have the rare opportunity to take a close photo with a giant panda — an unforgettable experience for animal lovers.
In the late afternoon, your driver will transfer you back to your hotel.

Day 2: Mount Qingcheng Hiking – Dujiangyan Irrigation System
(Lunch)
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive approximately 1 hour to Mount Qingcheng (Qingchengshan), one of the most famous Taoist mountains in China.
During the drive, enjoy beautiful views of the Chengdu countryside, traditional villages, and the peaceful landscape surrounding the western Sichuan Plain.
Mount Qingcheng is known as the birthplace of Chinese Taoism and is famous for its quiet atmosphere, ancient temples, and beautiful natural scenery. After the Sichuan earthquake, the local area was successfully restored, and many traditional villages have been rebuilt with a combination of local style and modern comfort.
Begin your mountain exploration with an easy walk along a beautiful stone-paved trail. After approximately 30 minutes of hiking, cross the peaceful Moon City Lake by boat, then take a cable car higher into the mountain.
Continue hiking for about 1 hour to reach Shangqing Palace, one of the most important Taoist temples on Mount Qingcheng. Here, you will learn about Taoist philosophy, traditional beliefs, and the relationship between humans and nature.
After descending the mountain, enjoy a local Chinese lunch at a restaurant near the foot of Qingcheng Mountain. The area is famous for its local cuisine, including dishes featuring fresh local ingredients such as ginkgo seeds.
Built over 2,000 years ago during the Qin Dynasty, Dujiangyan is one of the greatest ancient engineering achievements in China and remains in use today. Unlike modern dams, this remarkable irrigation system was designed to work with the natural landscape by controlling water flow without blocking the river.
During your visit, you will learn how ancient Chinese engineers used their understanding of geography, rivers, and ecology to create this extraordinary project that continues to benefit the Chengdu Plain.
After the visit, drive back to Chengdu via expressway (approximately 1 hour). Arrive at your hotel in the late afternoon.
Your 2-day Chengdu heritage tour ends with unforgettable memories of ancient civilization, giant pandas, Taoist culture, and remarkable Chinese engineering.
