Your Chengdu adventure begins this morning. Your guide from China Exploration will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, located about 10 kilometers north of downtown Chengdu.
The Chengdu Panda Base is one of the best places in China to observe giant pandas in a natural and comfortable environment. Here, you can watch these adorable animals eating bamboo, climbing trees, and playing with each other in their spacious green habitats.
Walking through the beautiful bamboo gardens is also a relaxing experience, allowing you to enjoy the peaceful environment where these beloved animals live. It is a wonderful opportunity to take photos and get a closer understanding of China’s national treasure.
After the panda visit, continue to Wuhou Temple (Temple of Marquis Wu), one of Chengdu’s most famous historical attractions.
Wuhou Temple is dedicated to Zhuge Liang, the legendary strategist and statesman of the Shu Han Kingdom during the Three Kingdoms period (220–280 AD). Known as the “Martial Marquis,” Zhuge Liang is admired in Chinese history for his wisdom, loyalty, and remarkable military strategies.
The temple was originally built near the tomb and memorial temple of Liu Bei, the founder of Shu Han, and was later combined with Liu Bei’s temple during the Ming Dynasty. The current buildings were reconstructed during the Qing Dynasty.
Surrounded by ancient cypress trees, traditional architecture, and famous red walls, Wuhou Temple creates a peaceful atmosphere where visitors can explore one of China’s most fascinating historical periods.

After lunch, take a relaxing walk through Jinli Ancient Street, one of Chengdu’s most popular historic streets.
With a history of more than 300 years, Jinli preserves the atmosphere of traditional Chengdu with wooden buildings, old-style streets, red lanterns, local handicraft shops, and traditional food stalls.
Although modern cafés and bars have brought new energy to the area, visitors can still discover the charm of old Chengdu through its architecture and cultural atmosphere. The street is also a wonderful place for photography.
In the late afternoon, visit Wangjiang Park (Wangjiang Tower Park), also known as Chengdu’s famous bamboo garden.
Built to commemorate Xue Tao, a talented female poet of the Tang Dynasty, Wangjiang Park combines beautiful gardens, traditional architecture, and peaceful natural scenery.
The highlight of the park is its impressive bamboo forest, featuring more than 100 varieties of bamboo. Walking among the tall bamboo trees, you can enjoy the gentle sound of leaves moving in the wind and experience a quiet escape from the busy city
The famous Wangjiang Tower stands as the symbol of the park and reflects the elegant style of traditional Chinese architecture.
In the evening, experience one of Chengdu’s most famous culinary traditions — Sichuan Hot Pot.
Chengdu hot pot is famous throughout China for its spicy flavor, lively atmosphere, and social dining style. Locals believe that sharing a hot pot around a round table represents friendship, reunion, and connection.
