Day 1: Chengdu – Bifengxia Panda Base – Bifengxia Gorge Hiking – Shangli Ancient Town
(Lunch, Dinner)
Your guide will meet you at your hotel in Chengdu and drive approximately 2 hours by expressway to Bifengxia, one of the most famous panda conservation centers in China.
Located in Ya’an, Sichuan Province, Bifengxia Panda Base is home to around 50–60 giant pandas living in a spacious natural environment. Unlike a traditional zoo, the panda garden provides a more comfortable habitat where visitors can observe these adorable animals eating bamboo, climbing trees, and playing with each other. Keep your eyes open — a panda may even be resting on a tree branch above you!
With a special donation to support panda conservation, visitors may have the rare opportunity to take a close photo with a giant panda, creating an unforgettable memory of their China journey.
After visiting the panda center, continue to explore Bifengxia Gorge, a beautiful natural area known for its green forests, spectacular waterfalls, dramatic cliffs, and charming bridges. Enjoy a relaxing hiking experience surrounded by fresh mountain air and stunning scenery.
In the late afternoon, travel to Shangli Ancient Town, a historic town once serving as an important stop along the ancient Tea Horse Road, the famous trade route connecting Sichuan with Tibetan regions.
Walking through the peaceful old streets, you will discover traditional wooden houses, ancient stone bridges, old courtyards, and local tea houses. Take your time to enjoy a cup of local tea, admire the traditional architecture, and experience the slow pace of rural Sichuan life.
Stay overnight and relax in this beautiful ancient town.

Day 2: Shangli Ancient Town – Mengding Mountain Tea Experience – Chengdu
(Breakfast, Lunch)
Wake up to the peaceful atmosphere of the countryside before driving about 30 minutes to Mengding Mountain (Mengdingshan), one of the most important tea culture destinations in China.
Mengding Mountain is regarded as one of the birthplaces of Chinese tea cultivation, with historical records showing that tea planting began here more than 2,000 years ago. Today, the mountain remains famous for its high-quality green tea and traditional tea-making culture.
During the tea experience, you will meet local tea farmers and learn about traditional tea cultivation, including tea picking and the daily life of tea growers. You will also have the chance to participate in traditional tea roasting by hand and discover how fresh tea leaves are transformed into fragrant tea.
Enjoy a local lunch featuring delicious tea-inspired dishes and experience authentic Sichuan countryside flavors.
In the afternoon, continue hiking through the beautiful tea plantations of Mengding Mountain. Along the way, you can discover ancient tea trees that have survived for hundreds or even thousands of years and enjoy panoramic views of the tea-covered mountains.
After the mountain visit, explore the local tea market, where you can learn more about Sichuan tea culture and purchase fresh local green tea as a special souvenir.
Drive back to Chengdu in the late afternoon. End of service.
