Kashgar Old Town
Kashgar, meaning a jade city, is the joint hub of the ancient Silk Roads around
the Taklimakan Desert from north edge and south edge meeting, and it is also the most frontier central city connecting China with Central Asia.
The old town of Kashgar is located in the center of Kashgar city. The old town has a long history, rich culture and unique customs. It is said that you have not visited Xinjiang if you did not go to Kashgar, then if you have not visited the old town of Kashgar, so you have not visited Kashgar.
The streets and alleys of Kashgar old town are crisscrossing, with flexible layout and winding paths leading to secluded places. Most of the dwellings are civil and brick and wood structures.
