Chishui Scenic Spot is found in Chishui City in northern Guizhou Province. Covering an area of 116 square miles, it boasts vast green forests, large and small waterfalls, countless clear rivers and creeks, glittering lakes and a wide variety of plants.

Fengxi River, abranch of Chishui River, forms a spectacular site when it suddenly meets a huge rock midstream in Shizhangdong. The water rushes down against this red rock into a deep pool below. The waterfall is known as one of the best waterfalls in China. Measuring 87 yards wide and 249 feet high, it is no less beautiful than the famous Huangguoshu Waterfall. Behind the waterfall, there is a Water Curtain Cave measuring 11 yards deep. At the bottom of the waterfall, a wide range of rare rocks in different shapes and sizes can be found. Water squeezes from the cracks within the rocks, looking as fresh as jade liquor. This beautiful view beyond description is called Shizhangdong Scenic Spot and is regarded as a wonder in northern Guizhou Province.

Seven miles from Chishui City, lies an Ancient Town called Bingan which reflects its original look of the Ming (1368 - 1644) and Qing (1644 - 1911) Dynasty. Only a waterway leads the old town to the outside world. From ancient times, it is an important town on the track from southern Sichuan to Guizhou. The only narrow 437-yard slab stone street in the town is the market where surrounding several villages trade commodities. Compared with the hustle and bustle of modern city life, the harmonious and peaceful atmosphere of the town is very precious. 

Lying 25 miles to Chishui City, China Jurassic Park is the only national reserve of alsophila spinulosa and its living environment in the world. Covering an area of 15 square miles, it is composed of three scenic areas including Gangou Channel, Dashui Channel and Liangcha River. Bamboo Sea National Forest Park is a fairyland composed of virgin forest, Bamboo Sea, waterfall sand red Danxia Landforms. A climb on "Guanhailou" (Viewing Bamboo Sea Tower) which measures 85 feet tall provides a full view of boundless bamboo. The vast expanse of green dancing in the wind, has the capacity to renew and refresh your spiritually.

Yanziyan National Forest Park: located about 25km (16 miles) to Chishui City, Yanziyan National Forest Park is a primitive and close scenic area which is composed of Yanzi Rock, Shishanping, Huangshui River and Hengshan Mountain Forest. It is an ideal resort to enjoy natural scenery, combining tour and sightseeing, scientific survey and recreation.

Moon Lake Scenic Area: Located about 94 km (58 miles) to Chishui City and over 900 meters (2,953 feet) tall above sea level, Moon Lake Scenic Area is a landscape of lakes and hills which is mainly composed of Moon Lake, Dashanping and Shuicha River. In the scenic area, visitors can also find cliffside inscriptions, virgin forest, waterfalls, Danxia Landform and the sites of the Long March and other cultural and natural landscapes.

Other local scenic spots also include Sidonggou Scenic Spot and Jiuqu Lake. Endowed with so many beautiful scenes, Chishui provides the opportunity to see China's nature at its best.
