Zhangye Qicai Seven Colorful Danxia scenic spot is located in Nantai Village, Nijiaying Town, Linze County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, 40 kilometers east of Zhangye City. The scenic area covers a total area of 50 square kilometers.

In 2005, China National Geographic magazine ranked Zhangye Danxia sixth among China's seven major Danxia landforms in its "Beauty of China" campaign, marking the first time Zhangye Danxia received recognition from a nationally authoritative professional publication. On August 2, 2010, Qicai Danxia were successfully inscribed on the *World Heritage List*. Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park is the most typical Danxia
landform developed in the arid regions of northern China, and the only area in China where Danxia landforms and colorful hills are highly composite. The park mainly consists of Cretaceous red beds formed between 135 million and 65 million years ago, sculpted by water and wind erosion. The Danxia landform group ranges in altitude from 2,000 to 3,800 meters, stretching approximately 40 kilometers east to west and 5 to 10 kilometers north to south, covering an area of over 300 square kilometers. The park is characterized by its vibrant colors, high scenic value, and vast area, combining grandeur, ruggedness, wonder, tranquility, and beauty. Within the park are seven scenic spots, including the Seven-Colored Cloud Sea, Seven-Colored Fairyland, Seven-Colored Brocade, Seven-Colored Rainbow, Crouching Tiger Gorge, Seven-Colored Ao River, and Wanxiang Earth Forest Valley.
