Wuwei Tours
Wuwei is located at the main point of the ancient Silk Road, the economic hub of the ancient Central Plains and the Western Regions, the place where the Central Plains culture and the Western Regions culture integrate and spread, the pass of the western section of the Silk Road, the capital of Chinese and foreign merchants, and all dynasties have set up prefectures in Wuwei. It is an important node city in Gansu section of the Silk Road Economic Belt, a national historical and cultural city, a central city of Hexi Corridor, and an important traffic pass city in the west. Wuwei has many scenic spots and historic sites, natural landscape and historical culture, and has been named as the national historical and cultural city, China's excellent tourist city and China Wine City.

Wuwei city has a long history, as early as four or five thousand years ago, there were rong, yue shi, Wusun and other northern ethnic groups gathered to live. Since Emperor Wudi of the Han Dynasty sent General Huo Qubing to Hexi to defeat the Xiongnu, highlighting the "martial arts military power" of the Han Empire named Wuwei. In the sixteen countries, the front, back, southern and north were all built in Wuwei. At that time, Buddhism flourished here, and it once became the center of Buddhist culture in North China. Beiliang excavated tiMountain grottoes, is the representative of the early Buddhist art; North Street Roche Temple, is the western region monk Kumarushzhuo Xi. In the Tang Dynasty, Wuwei set up the governor's office, and later it was the garrison of Hexi garrison. The royal family also moved here.

There are many tourist attractions in Wuwei, such as Leitai Han Tomb, the unparalleled Xixia monument, Tiantai Mountain Grottoes, Liangzhou Alliance Memorial Hall, Wuwei Confucian Temple, Ruian Fort and other scenic spots.

Main tourist attractions in Wuwei:

Xixia Museum
Xixia Museum, located in front of the Confucian Temple in Wuwei City, Gansu Province, is a "回" shaped antique frame structure, covering an area of about 3,570 square meters and an exhibition area of 1,400 square meters. The exhibition combines large-scale reliefs, cultural relic pictures, murals and background paintings, which vividly reflects the great achievements of Wuwei in the political, economic, military, cultural and other fields during the reign of the Western Xia Dynasty. The collection includes the national key cultural relics protection units, the national treasure level cultural relics wooden edge pagoda, the national first-class cultural relic Xixia wood painting, Xixia mud movable type version of the scriptures and other important cultural relics.

Wuwei Confucian Temple
Wuwei Confucian Temple is located at No.172, Chongwen Street, Liangzhou District, Wuwei City, Gansu Province. It was first built in the second year of the Ming Dynasty (1437). Built by Xu Xi of the military Ministry, covering a total area of 30096 square meters. It consists of three groups of buildings, with Wenchang Palace in the east, Confucius Temple in the middle, and Liangzhou Confucian College (also known as "Liangzhou Confucian Academy") in the west. All of them are symmetrically arranged on the north-south parallel axis, maintaining the original courtyard pattern, and is the largest and most complete preserved Confucian temple in northwest China.

Wuwei Confucian Temple maintains the overall pattern of "three pillars" of temple learning, Wenchang Palace and Confucius Temple. The Confucian Temple retains the buildings from various periods from the Ming Dynasty to the Republic of China. It has strong local characteristics in bracket sets and beam bracket sets, and is an important example to study the internal relationship between Hexi traditional architecture, Confucian culture and Wenchang culture.
Since the establishment of Wuwei County in the Western Han Dynasty, despite the wars and turmoil, the culture and education in Wuwei prospered for a long time, and Confucianism flourished. After the Ming Dynasty returned to the Central Plains Dynasty, Wuwei, as an important town along the Great Wall in the north of the Ming Dynasty, emerged at the right moment under the military establishment of the Confucian Temple, playing the dual function of offering sacrifices to Confucius and teaching Confucian culture
