The Mutianyu Great Wall was built in 1368 A.D. by General Xu Da on the ruins of the Northern Qi Dynasty. It is the essence of the Great Wall in the Ming Dynasty. The Mutianyu Great Wall is connected to Juyongguan in Changping County in the west and Gubeikou of Miyun County in the east. It is the eastern section of Huanghua Town, the north gate of the capital. Most of it is built on the steep cliff edge of the mountain to control danger. The wall is seven or eight meters high, the top of the wall is four or five meters wide, the wall on both sides of the low wall stack, but the two sides of the enemy, also excavated a horse pit, so that the defense function is more perfect, the building materials are mainly granite stone.
