Wufengxi Old Town
Wufengxi Old Town is one of the well reserved old town of Chengdu, and located in the Jintang County of Chengdu. Wufengxi Old Town is adjacent to the Longquan Mountains on the left and the Tuojiang River on the right. Wufeng Old Town, as an important water transport wharf in the east of Xiachuan in history, was built in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. It is the only mountain town among the top 10 ancient towns in Chengdu.
Since the ancient time, Wufengxi has been a beautiful landscape, and the town sits on a hill with lush and green color, looking forward to the sky, like a phoenix rushing to the sky. The five main streets in the town, namely Jinfeng, Yufeng, Qingfeng, Baifeng and Xiaofeng, are well laid out. Its landform and topography are naturally carved. Its geographical position is more like a phoenix spreading its wings. Huang river crosses the town and meets the Tuojiang River. Its geographical conditions are unique, hence the name "Wufengxi".
Wufengxi, as an old wharf, is an important commercial road connecting Chengdu with Chongqing. At that time, there were a large number of immigrants from Guangdong, Guangxi, Hubei, Shaanxi, Jiangxi and other places in Wufengxi. They lived in harmony with the original residents and jointly created a unique local culture.
