Ne Zha Palace Temple
Ne Zha is the immortal in ancient Chinese myths and legends. The folk respected Ne zha as the prince, the marshal of the altar, God of fight. Ne zha is worshiped by both Buddha and Confucianism as the god depressing demon. When Ne zha was a child, he killed the dragon in east sea. Ne Zha was the 3rd son of Li Jing and Lade Yin, and he had two brothers of Jin Zha and Mu Zha. His teacher is Gold God of Taiyi and Buddha (Sakyamuni).

According to the Buddhist records in the Tang Dynasty, Ne Zha was a god of young boy, and his body form is three heads, nine eyes and eight arms. And his height is 9 meters with clothes of lotus leaves.

Ne Zha Temple, or we say Ne Zha Palace formally, is located in Cuiping Mountain, Yibin City, Sichuan Province. It is regarded as the ancestral temple of Ne Zha by both Taiwan and China mainland through the joint research of both straight. The Ne Zha Temple is a Taoist style building in the late Qing Dynasty, covering an area of 2200 square meters with construction area of 1100 square meters. Ne Zha temple is mainly composed of the archway, Prince Hall, Ne zha Cave. Ne zha temple on the mountain has reasonable layout, simple modeling. In the Spring Festival of 2025, the film "Ne Zha" is hot in the world, Ne Zha Palace in Yibing also turned out to be the hot spot of celebrity of Ne Zha culture for tourists. During the Spring Festival, the peak number of tourists in Cuiping Mountain Scenic Spot, where the Ne Zha Palace is located, has reached about 8,000 people, and the average daily number of tourists has reached about 4,000 people.

Ne Zha Palace is formed by the palace door, prince hall and Ne Zha hole.

Prince hall
Prince Hall is the main building of Ne Zha temple from the gate to the pace along the stone steps.  The rear wall of the hall is painted with a red sun rising from the sea, surrounded by the statue of Ne Zha in the center of the hall. Ne zha’s right hand holding the fire gun, left hand holding the universe circle, the body mixed with best, waist wrapped with lotus leaf skirt, foot on fire wheel, head soaring cloud, which are the vivid sculpture of Ne Zha. On the back corridor wall there are  color paintings about Ne Zha’s life stories.

Ne Zha Hole
On the right side of the back gallery mural, there is "Ne Zha cave". The hole is 2 meters high, 2.7 meters wide inside, and 5 meters deep. There is an attic-style exquisite pagoda relief above the cave entrance. On the back wall of the cave, there is a real statue of Ne Zha. Ne Zha is sitting on the lotus seat with his right hand holding the universe circle, the left hand with fearless seal. Around the prince hall, full of compatriots on both sides of the Straits

The Story of Ne Zha Temple in Yibing become the ancestral temple:

In 1990, Mr. Huang Zhang, the host of Ne Zha Palace in Chiayi of Taiwan, China had a dream: He was lead to mainland of China by Ne Zha on a boat up the river, and they came to three great rivers confluence, and then boarded a pine thick hillside, see a "Ne zha hole", in the hole Ne Zha’s left arm was broken, and Ne Zha covered with dust. Ne Zha said: " You need to restore my left arm. This is the Cuiping Mountain." Huangzhang woke up, but it is a dream. Mr. Huangzhang was willing to achieve Ne Zha’s trust, so he looked for countless "Cuiping Mountain", "three branch mouth" and other places till August 1,1990, Mr. huang zhang visited Cuiping Mountain in Yibin City, and saw the temple was exactly as his the dream.

The news of finding real Ne Zha ancestral temple in the mainland caused concern in both Taiwan and mainland. In July 1991, Mr. Luo Guangnan of Taiwan Taoist association led 32 hosts of Nezha Temples and 108 believers from Taiwan visited Ne Zha temple in Yibing, and they widely investigated the local human geography and folk customs, and further studied the local folklore and Ne Zha holy trace, eventually made decision that Ne Zha’s root was in Yibin, Sichuan province. Taiwan believers donated money generously with the support and cooperation of the local Yibing authorities, "Ne Zha Palace" was rebuilt in Cuiping Mountain, Yibin.

Through the joint research on both sides of the Taiwan Straits, the Ne Zha Palace of Cuiping Mountain is identified as China's Ne Zha (three prince) ancestral temple. Every year, believers from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Southeast Asia came Yibing to worship Ne Zha temple.
