Four-day Dunhuang Tour
This is a long tour, from Lanzhou to Dunhuanng.During the second you will spend on air conditioned car, but the changing view is also beautiful. Then you will visit the most famous landscape, Mogao Grottoes and Singing Sands Mountain.
Mogao Grottoes, folk name thousand-buddha grotto. It has a history of over 1500 years and is now the largest and most abundant base of Buddhist art. It was added in the World Cultural Heritage List in 1987. Together with Yungang Grottoes (in Datong, Shanxi province), Longmen Grottoes (in Luoyang, Henan province) and Maiji Mountain Grottoes (in Tianshui, Gansu province), they are the four largest grottoes in China.
Mingshashan Singing Sands Mountain, named because that under the human tread or wind blow, the sand produces a sound like a string instruments horn, a drum,or that of rumbling thunder. Descent Lake looks exactly like a beautiful new moon lying at the north foot of Echoing-sand Mountain.

D1 Arrive in Dunhuang
In the morning, arrive in Dunhuang by bullet train or flight, and the dirve to Dunhuang. During the hours long journery, you can view the wonderful landscape changing before your eyes as well as the Great Wall. Tonight you’ll stay in a hotel in Dunhuang.
D2 Mogao Grottoes/ Singing Sands Mountain

After visiting Mogao Grottoes, you’ ll be guide to Minshashan Singing Sands Mountain. As you can see in its name, it’s an area in desert where the sands make sounds. It is named because, under the human tread or wind blow, the sand produces a sound like a string instruments horn, a drum, or that of rumbling thunder. Descent Lake looks exactly like a beautiful new moon lying at the north foot of Echoing-sand Mountain. Leiyin Temple is north of Echoing-sand Mountain, built in 1991 and covering an area of 3000m2. The original temple, it is said, was buried under the Echoing' sand Mountain in a sandstorm. Now the temple is a key center in western China open to the world for Buddhist activities.
In the late afternon, you guide will take you back to your hotel.

City tours today, you will visit the Dunhuang Museum to have a further study of Dunhuang Silk Raod Culture.

In the morning, you’ll be sent to the ariport to end your tour in Dunhuang.
