D1 Arrive in Beijing
Today we will arrive in Beijing, the ancient capital of China with over thousand years' history. Receive a welcome from our guide then transfer to hotel, and you also learn your first Chinese “Nin Hao ” for greeting. If time allowed, you can strech your legs by dropping a tour in Hutong.
D2 Beijing City Excursion ( The Great Wall / Ming Tomb / Beijing Roast Duck )(B,L,D)
The Mutianyu Great Wall will be your first destination. As Chairman Mao has said: “Walk on the Great Wall, and to be a real man”. You will walk on this ancient stone stage on feet, and trace the ancient history of China through the old wall and mountains. In the afternoon, a visit to the Ming Tomb will be an interesting adventure for you, where you will see how the emperors desired for immortal. In the evening you will enjoy a delicious Chinese banquet with the well-known Beijing Roast Duck, and you will see how Chinese treat their food as arts.
D3 Beijing City Excursion ( The Forbidden City / the Summer Palace/ Beijing Olympics Stadium (Bird's Nest & Water Cube)(exterior) /The Heaven Temple ) (B,L)
Today you will explore the mysterious palace of Chinese emperors, the Forbidden City, which boasts having 9999 rooms and could be the largest palace in the world. In the afternoon we will have a leisure walk in the emperors' royal garden, the Summer Palace, which is a much-loved summer retreat of the Imperial families, the lovely landscaped gardens, halls, pavilions and corridors are set around the lake and rivers in natural harmony. Afterwards you will make a short stop to the Beijing Olympics Stadium (Bird's Nest & Water Cube)(exterior) for picture opportunities, and you will also walk around in the quiet and wide Heaven Temple, which is used to worship emperor's ancestors and pray for a harvest season.
D4 Beijing/ Lhasa (B)
Fly to Lhasa in the early morning. Landing on the Gongka airport, you will feel the difference of plateau immediately both physically and psychologically. Standing at over 12,000 feet above sea level, Tibet, you arrive! Receive a warm welcome from local Tibetan guide, you will drive to Lhasa city. The Yalongzangbo river, villages, Buddhism inscription en route, all will show you a different land. Just try to find your experience in this beautiful land. Free in the afternoon to be acclimated.
D5 Lhasa City Tours ( Potala Palace /Sera Monastery /Tibetan Family Visit ) (B,L)
As winter palace of Dalai Lama, the Potala palace worked as a political and religious centre in Tibet. It also shows the wonders of architecture to the world. Standing on the top of Red mountain, it overlooked all over Tibet. You will explore in its maze. In the afternoon you will explore Grand Sera Monastery. If you are lucky enough, you can watch interesting Buddhism scripture debating by the monks. And you will also be guest in a local Tibetan family in the late afternoon
D6 Lhasa City Tours ( Jorkang Temple / Barkor Street / Drepung Monastery /Tibetan Carpet Factory/ Tibetan Dancing shows ) (B,L,D)
The wonders of Tibet continue to unfold today. You begin with the holiest temple in Tibet, the 1,300 year old Jokhang Temple. Then you will have a leisure walk in famous Barkhor Street. This market has been providing all necessaries for the Himalayas for 1,000 years. It is also a good chance for your shopping! Drive outside the city to Drepung Monastery, which was the largest monastery in the world with 10,000 resident monks in its peak. In the late afternoon drop a visit in the Lhasa Tibetan Carpet factory. Have a Tibetan style dinner in Yak Restaurant and watch Tibetan dancing show in the evening will be the highlight of our trip!
D7 Lhasa /Gyantse / Shygatse (Yamdok Lake / Palgor Chorten) (B,L)
Drive across the Ganbala Pass ( 4200m ) will be a challenge to our health, but you will be paid by the overview of beautiful Yamdok Lake immediately. After enjoyed the grassland and yaks en route, you will arrive in Gyantse at noon, then you will visit the extremely beautiful Palgor Chorten (Kumbu Monastery). In the late afternoon drive to Sygatse.
D8 Shigatse / Lhasa (Tashilunpo Monastery) (B,L)
As the base of Panchen Lama, Shygatse placed as the business and political centre of back Tibet. The Grand Tashilunpo Monastery will show you again about the wealth and power of Tibetan Buddhism. You will drive back Lhasa along wide Yalongzangbu river in the afternoon via the new road. Then you will be free to explore the city.
D9 Lhasa /Leshan / Emeishan ( Leshan Giant Buddha / Baoguo Temple )(B,L)
In the morning you will fly back to Chengdu, then you will drive to Leshan to visit the Giant Buddha statue. Out sculptured in the deep cliff 1000 years ago, the Giant Buddha is playing the important role of depressing the surging rivers. You will take a cruise to adore its over view, then hike on the beautiful mountain to enjoy the Buddha closely. In the late afternoon you will head for the sacred Buddhism mountain, Emei Mountain. You will visit the ancient Baoguo Temple if time allowed, or just walk around at the beautiful mountain foot.
D10 Emeishan / Chengdu ( Emei Mountain / Mask Changing Show )(B,L,D)
You will ascend the summit of Mt Emeishan in the morning. The cloud sea, giant golden Buddha all will be wonder of our trip. And Emeishan Mountain is also a kingdom of moneys. Be careful, you may be stopped by some naughty monkey for foods. Back Chengdu in the afternoon. You will enjoy a delicious banquet of traditional Chinese Medicine herbal. It will be an amazing experience to watch Sichuan Opera in the old style Tea house in the evening. And mask changing will bring the night to peak.
D11 Chengdu / Chongqing ( Panda Garden )(B,L)
As the hometown of Panda, naturally you will head for Panda Garden, which feed over 30 pandas all over the year. It will be an amazing experience to make friends with so many lovely pandas! If you offer certain donation, you can even take a picture with them in your arms! At noon you will take bullet train to Chongqing ( 2hrs10min) . If time allowed, you can drop a tour in Hongyadong Cave to enjoy the beautiful mountain view of Chongqing. Board the cruise in the evening. Night on Yangtze cruise boat.
D12 Yangtze River Cruise(Shibaozhai or Fengdu) (B,L,D)
Shore excursion to Shibaozhai , white emperor city, or Fengdu Ghost town (depends on sailing schedule). Entertainment and organized activities on board, with Captain's welcome dinner to attend.
D13 Yangtze River Cruise(Shennong Stream or Lesser 3 Gorges) (B,L,D)
Shore excursion to Shennong Stream or Lesser 3 Gorges (depends on sailing schedule), cruise sails through Qutang Gorge and Wuxia Gorge. Entertainment and organized activities on board, with the farewell dinner party in the evening. And boat climbing over the Dam gate will be an interesting view in the middle night, don't forget it.
D14 Yangtze River Cruise/Yichang/Shanghai( Three Gorges Dam) (B,L)
Shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam project in the morning. Sail through Xiling Gorge. Disembark upon arrival at Yichang after lunch, then transfer to the airport. Take a flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, transfer hotel to rest.
D15 Shanghai / Suzhou (Humble Governor's Garden / Tiger Hill ) (B,L)
Drive to Suzhou in the morning. The Suzhou Gardening are most beautiful in China, and each of them will show us how ancient Chinese rich men enjoyed their life. The Humble Governor's Garden is the best of them. And you will also relax in the Tiger Hill Park in the afternoon.
D16 Suzhou /Tongli /Shanghai ( Tongli Water Village / Huangpu River Cruise ) (B,L)
Tongli or Zhouzhuang is a village with river channel crossed and still remains its traditional culture. You will explore this water village in the morning. In the afternoon we will drive back to Shanghai. The night of Bund deserve your trying. And the night cruise of Huangpu River will leave you a life standing memory.
D17 Shanghai City Tour (Yu Garden/ The Shanghai World Financial Center/Xin Tian DI) (B,L)
Your tour continues with a visiting to Yu Garden, famous for its rock gardens, pavilions, halls and ponds. The Shanghai World Financial Center, a super tall skyscraper which reaches 492.3 meters (1,615.2 ft) and became the tallest structure on mainland China, including Hong Kong, as well as the world's third tallest building (including unfinished ones), after the Burj Dubai and Taipei 101.Then you will go to Xin Tian DI (Heaven on Earth), a conservation area of traditional low-rise homes, formerly part of the French quarter.

In the morning you will head for the air-port, say "Zai Jian" to China and leave China with sweet memory
