D1 Arrive in Yichang – Three Gorges Waterfall
Arrive in Yichang around noon and meet your private guide upon arrival. After lunch, begin your Yichang tour with a visit to the Three Gorges Waterfall Scenic Area, a beautiful natural attraction surrounded by mountains, forests and karst landscapes.
Follow the scenic trails through the valley and enjoy the dramatic limestone peaks, lush vegetation and clear streams. The highlight of the visit is the spectacular Three Gorges Waterfall, where water cascades down the cliffs into the valley.
One of the most interesting experiences is walking along the trail behind the waterfall and through the natural cave-like area beneath the falling water. This provides a unique perspective of the waterfall and is especially enjoyable on a warm day. Please wear comfortable, non-slip shoes, as the trail can be wet from the spray.
After the sightseeing, return to Yichang city in the late afternoon and check in to your hotel.

D2 Yichang – Three Gorges Cruise – Xiling Gorge – Three Gorges Tribe – Three Gorges Dam
In the morning, take a Three Gorges sightseeing boat from Yichang for a half-day excursion along the Yangtze River toward Three Gorges Tribe (Sanxia Renjia).
During the cruise, the boat passes through the Gezhouba Ship Lock, part of the Gezhouba Water Control Project, one of the major early hydropower projects built on the Yangtze River in the Three Gorges region. Experience the fascinating process of navigating through the ship lock while enjoying views of the surrounding mountains.
Continue along the Yangtze River into Xiling Gorge, the westernmost and longest of the Three Gorges. The narrow river channel, steep cliffs and green mountains create spectacular scenery along the cruise.
Leave the boat around noon at the Three Gorges Tribe area and enjoy lunch before continuing your sightseeing on foot.
In the afternoon, take a leisurely hike through Three Gorges Tribe, a scenic area combining spectacular Yangtze River scenery with traditional local culture. Walk along the river and through traditional-style villages while learning about the customs and lifestyle of local communities, including the Ba and Tujia peoples.
Depending on the day’s performance schedule, you may also have the opportunity to watch traditional cultural performances featuring local music, dance and customs.
In the late afternoon, return to Yichang city. Before finishing today’s tour, visit the impressive Three Gorges Dam and enjoy a panoramic view of the massive dam and the broad Yangtze River. Your guide will introduce the history, engineering features and significance of this major hydropower project.
Return to your hotel in Yichang for the night.

D3 Yichang – Dangyang – Yuquan Temple – Guanling Mausoleum – Yichang Departure
After breakfast, drive approximately one hour from Yichang to Dangyang and visit Yuquan Temple, one of the region’s important historic Buddhist temples.
With a history spanning more than a thousand years, Yuquan Temple is surrounded by peaceful natural scenery and has long been associated with Buddhist culture and local legends. Explore the temple grounds and listen to your guide introduce the history and stories connected with this ancient religious site.
Continue to Guanling Mausoleum, a historic memorial complex associated with Guan Yu, the famous military general of the Three Kingdoms period. Guan Yu has been widely revered in Chinese culture as a symbol of loyalty and righteousness, and his image has also become an important figure in traditional Chinese folk religion.
Explore the mausoleum and learn more about Guan Yu’s historical legacy and the cultural traditions that developed around his story.
After lunch, drive back to Yichang. Your guide and driver will transfer you to Yichang Railway Station according to your train schedule for your onward journey.
