Day 1: Arrive in Fuzhou
Arrive in Fuzhou around noon. Your local tour guide will meet you upon arrival and begin your Fuzhou sightseeing.
Your first stop is the peaceful Xichan Temple, one of the five major Zen monasteries in Fuzhou. Take a relaxing walk through the beautiful temple gardens and enjoy the tranquil, spiritual atmosphere. It is a wonderful opportunity to experience Fuzhou’s Buddhist heritage and enjoy a peaceful escape from the city.
In the late afternoon, return to the city center to explore the famous Three Lanes and Seven Alleys (Sanfang Qixiang). Wander through the historic lanes, admire the well-preserved traditional architecture, and sample some delicious local snacks. With its charming old streets and lively atmosphere, this historic neighborhood is an ideal place to experience the history and local culture of Fuzhou.
After the sightseeing, transfer back to your hotel in the late afternoon. Your Fuzhou tour ends for the day.
Day 2: Fuzhou – Pingtan Island
Your Fuzhou tour continues with a morning pickup from your hotel. Then travel to Pingtan Island, the largest island in Fujian Province and one of China’s most beautiful coastal destinations.
Spend the day exploring the island’s spectacular natural scenery and unique local culture. Drive along the famous Windmill Forest Road, where rows of enormous white wind turbines stand against the deep blue sea. The combination of the windmills, coastline, and ocean creates one of Pingtan Island’s most distinctive and photogenic landscapes.
