Day 1: Arrive in Fuzhou
Arrive in Fuzhou around noon. Your local tour guide will meet you upon arrival and begin your Fuzhou sightseeing.
Your first stop is the peaceful Xichan Temple, one of the five major Zen monasteries in Fuzhou. Take a relaxing walk through the temple grounds and beautiful gardens while enjoying the tranquil, spiritual atmosphere. This is a wonderful place to experience Fuzhou’s Buddhist heritage and escape the bustle of the city.
In the late afternoon, return to the city center and explore the famous Three Lanes and Seven Alleys (Sanfang Qixiang), one of Fuzhou’s best-preserved historic neighborhoods. Wander through its ancient lanes, admire traditional architecture, and sample delicious local snacks. The historic streets offer a great introduction to Fuzhou’s rich cultural heritage and lively local life.
After the sightseeing, transfer back to your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.
Day 2: Fuzhou – Xiapu
Take a high-speed train from Fuzhou to Xiapu in the morning. Upon arrival, begin exploring the beautiful coastal landscapes of Xiapu, a popular destination for photography enthusiasts.
Depending on the season and local conditions, visit Dongbi or the Xuyu’ao Salt Fields, where you can photograph the traditional fishing lifestyle, working fishermen, fishing boats, and distinctive coastal scenery. The changing tides, waterways, and light create constantly changing views that make Xiapu particularly attractive to photographers.
In the late afternoon, head to Beiqi Tantu Beach, one of Xiapu’s famous photography locations. Find a good viewpoint and enjoy photographing the beautiful coastal landscape as the sun sets over the sea.
Day 3: Xiapu – Departure
Today, continue exploring Xiapu’s picturesque countryside. Head to Yangjiaxi, famous for its impressive old banyan trees and peaceful natural surroundings. Take your time photographing the ancient trees and traditional rural scenery.
In the afternoon, continue to Xiaohao Xishan, another scenic location known for its beautiful coastal landscapes and excellent photography opportunities. Enjoy the changing light and scenery as you capture the distinctive beauty of Xiapu.
In the late afternoon, take a high-speed train from Xiapu back to Fuzhou, or continue by train to your next destination, such as Wuyishan or Hangzhou. Your Fuzhou and Xiapu tour ends here.
