Mt. Meili (Prince Snow Mt.) is located at the west White Horse Snow Mountain and regarded by local Tibetans as a Holy Mountain. It was said there are 13 holy mountains in Tibet and Mt Meili is No.1 because it is the only male. According to Tibetan legend, its highest peak called Kawakebo, means a handsome prince. Each year in autumn, the Tibetan people from Yunnan, Sichuan, and Tibet will gather here for Hajj the Prince Snow Mountain. They will take a pilgrimage trekking around the holy mountain, to worship the prince and pray for good future.
In this trip, we will enjoy the pretty peak of Mt. Meili in distance as well as the pretty nature of Minyong Ice Glacier, sacred waterfall, etc. The complete trekking around the mountain taking about one month would be unbearable for most people, so China Exploration designed a short route suitable for most of the travelers. The hiking only covers a few easy walking roads with beautiful nature. We believe you can still find the pleasure of hiking and enjoy the beauty of the mountain.

Itinerary
D1 Kunming
Arrive in Kunming. Do some city tours accordingly. The Stone Forest, West Hill, etc.
D2 Kunming / Shangri-la
Fly to Shangri-la in the morning, then we will do some mild tours to be acclimated. The Huge Songtanlin Monastery will show us the profound theory of Tibetan Buddhism.
D3 Shangri-la Cizong Deqin
Head for Cizong in the morning, visit the church of Cizong, then drive to Feilai temple ( Flying Temple ). Night in local guest house.
D4 Mt Meili Trekking Trekking 20KM
Watch the Sun rise of Mt Meili in the morning, and then drive to Xidang. Our trekking will start from here, and arrive in Yupeng in the afternoon. Enjoy Pagoda of eight Buddha, virgin forest en route. Night in local guest house.
D5 Yupeng - Base Camp -Yupeng Trekking 16kms
Today we will trek up to the base camp of Mt Meili( 4160ms) . Enjoy the virgin forest, plants, mountain peaks, ice waterfall, Glacier, Yak Farm, etc. And back Yupeng in the late afternoon.
D6 Yupeng- Xidang- Mingyong Guest house. Trekking 20kms
In the morning trek to Sacred Water Fall of Yupeng, and then back Yupeng. Enjoy five trees with same root, calligraphy by the nature, foot prints of gods, etc. Then we will continue to Xidang. Night in local guest house.
D7 Mingyong Village -Mingyong Ice Glacier - Mingyong Village -Deqin Trekking 16ms
In the morning we will trek up to the glacier in about 8 kms, we will trek on the glacier . In the afternoon return to Mingyong Village, then return to Deqing . Night in local hotel or guest house.
D8 Deqing / Shangri-la Driving
Drive back to Shangri-la, visit the Shudu Lake and Napa Lake. Night in hotel.
D9 Shangri-la / Lijiang
Drive to Lijiang. Drop a visit to Tiger Leaping Gorge.
D10 Lijiang
We will completely relax us in the old town of Lijiang. You can free to explore the old town and any corner you are interested. Enjoy Naxi Music Concert in the evening.
D11 Lijiang Departure
Bid Farewell to Yunnan and fly to next stop. END
