Hangzhou Liuhe Pagoda
Liuhe Pagoda, meaning Six-harmony Pagoda, is located at 16th , Zhijiang Road, West Lake District, 
Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It was first built in the Song Dynasty (970 AD), and the original base site was the south orchard of Qian Hongchu, King of Wuyue. The tower was originally built to suppress the Qiantang River tide.
The Liuhe Tower covers an area of 890 square meters (about 1.3 mu), with 104 iron bells hanging from the eaves outside the tower. The tower is 59.89 meters high. The tower is brick, the outer eaves are wooden structure, and the plane is octagonal. The outer eaves are 13 floors, 7 floors are connected with the tower, and 6 floors are closed, forming a pattern of 7 light and 6 dark. The tower is built in the form of wooden structure masonry, and the stairs can spiral up to reach the top floor. Each floor of the tower has four parts: outer wall, corridor, inner wall and square tower heart chamber. The arch is paved for two flowers, and the corner shop is made for five shops for double late single arch. Indoor application of various color painting. Each layer of the tower wall four door, access to the wooden eaves corridor. The outer corridor is wide and open, and the climbing people can walk from the inner tower to the outer corridor. The tower wall is thick, take the ground floor as an example, the outer wall is 4.12 meters thick.
