Golf is becoming a popular sport in China. Golf was introduced to China later than other countries. But golf has developed rapidly in China . Especially in recent years, golf courses have sprung up like mushrooms all over the country; so far China was home to some 220 courses. Now, reliable sources put that number at well over 350, with another 100 or so set to open over the next two to three years.
Most golf courses in China are located in coastal areas, capital cities of provinces and famous tourism cities, with pleasant climates, beautiful scenery and transport facilities. Many of them are up to the international standards in terms of their choice of location, design and construction, turf and prefect service facilities. They are capable of hosting international golf competitions, with unique characteristics. Beijing golf destinations
1. Huatang International Golf Club
It was opened in late 1997. It is a new course but with lots of trees. The friendly course is open to public not only for people with a membership. It is a 40-minute drive from the city centre

2. Beijing Golf Club：
The club is just 30 minutes from the Beijing International Airport. This championship course was designed by Poellot and Benz of the US.

3. Beijing International Golf Club：
The course runs alongside Ming's Tomb (Shisanling) Reservoir. In an area of water shortage the golfer has 13 holes where water is the main hazard. This mature course offers large greens with plenty of out-of-bounds markers.

Shanghai golf destinations
Shanghai is not the ideal place to develop golf courses because of the plain terrain. Therefore, Shanghai has only a few golf-links. Among these courses, only two or three of them can be considered professional. Generally, the service offered by Shanghai-based golf-links is more expensive than that in Beijing. The green fees here range between 700 yuan (US$84) to 850 yuan (US$102).
1.Shanghai Tianma Golf and Country Club：
It is located 30 minutes from the Hongqiao Airport in the Sheshan National Tourism Park. Sheshan is known for its natural beauty and for having the only mountain in Shanghai. Located in Shapo Island near the outlet of the Wanquan River, the Bo'ao Golf & Country Club integrates rivers, lakes, seas, mountains and islands, and boasts coconut forests, sandy beaches, weird stones and fields. Its topography and terrain are just like those of the Golden Coast in Australia, the ancient golf course in Scotland and Hawaii in the United States. It is a whole island-type links' shape golf course rarely seen in Asia. Players may go to Qionghai first via the eastern expressway and then to Bo'ao,totaling 104 km and taking one hour and a half by car. 3. Hainan Sanya International Golf Club:
The Hainan Sanya International Golf Club is on the western side of Sanya, a tropical tourism scenic place in China. It is only a 25-minute drive from the city proper to the golf course, with a warm climate in winter. It is indeed a fictitious land of peace, away from the turmoil of the world.
Introduction to the course: This golf course has 18 holes. Par:73. After transformation, the lawns become greener, smoother and more challenging.

1. Huangshan Pine Golf Club :
The Jade Course is with much elevation, which is unlike the other airport courses. As a whole, the fairway is reasonably forgiving and features with plenty of dogleg holes and water hazards. The design is reasonable and interesting with a mix of risk and reward holes. The difficulties of the approaching shot will be determined by the position of your tee shots.
