Day 1: Arrive in Kaili – Xijiang Miao Village
Arrive at Kaili Railway Station around noon by high-speed train from Guiyang or another city in China. Meet your private tour guide at the station and drive to Xijiang Miao Village, one of the most famous Miao villages in Guizhou.
Nestled among the mountains, Xijiang is known for its spectacular collection of traditional Miao wooden houses. Thousands of houses are built along the hillsides, creating a remarkable landscape of traditional architecture surrounded by mountains and terraced rice fields.
Take a relaxing walk through the village and enjoy the harmonious combination of Miao wooden houses, green mountains and rice terraces. You will also have the opportunity to observe traditional Miao customs and experience the atmosphere of everyday life in one of Guizhou’s most distinctive ethnic villages.
In the evening, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the village and stay overnight in a local Miao-style hotel.

Day 2: Kaili – Langde Miao Village – Rongjiang

Enjoy a quiet morning in Xijiang Miao Village before continuing your journey to Langde Miao Village.
Compared with the larger and more popular Xijiang Miao Village, Langde is a smaller and quieter traditional Miao community. It is known for its well-preserved traditional architecture, local customs and Miao folk culture.
Take a leisurely walk through the village, explore the traditional wooden houses and enjoy the peaceful mountain surroundings. Depending on the day of your visit, you may also have the chance to see a traditional Miao welcoming ceremony, featuring local singing and dancing.
In the afternoon, continue your journey to Rongjiang, enjoying the beautiful mountain and river scenery along the way. Located along the Duliu River, Rongjiang is home to several Dong ethnic villages and is an excellent destination for experiencing the traditional culture of southeastern Guizhou.
Upon arrival, visit Gaozeng Dong Village, a traditional Dong community known for its distinctive architecture and impressive Dong drum tower, an important gathering place for village meetings, celebrations and cultural activities.
Rongjiang has also gained international attention for its popular grassroots football league, known as the Village Super League, or “Cun Chao.” If your visit coincides with a match, you may have the opportunity to experience the lively atmosphere of a local game and see how football has become part of village life.

Day 3: Rongjiang – Xiaohuang Dong Village – Congjiang Departure
After breakfast, continue your journey toward Congjiang and visit Xiaohuang Dong Village, a traditional Dong community in the mountains of southeastern Guizhou.
Xiaohuang is known for its beautiful mountain setting and rich Dong cultural traditions. Compared with some of the more popular ethnic villages in Guizhou, it offers a quieter experience and provides a closer look at traditional village life.
Take a walk through the village and admire the traditional wooden houses and surrounding mountain scenery. You may also have the opportunity to learn about Dong traditions, local music and the distinctive lifestyle of the community.
In the afternoon, your guide will transfer you to the railway station for your onward high-speed train to Guilin, Guiyang or another destination, depending on your travel arrangements.
Your 3-day Guizhou ethnic villages tour ends at the railway station.
