Day 1: Guangzhou Arrival

 

Upon arrival at Guangzhou Airport, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Guangzhou. After check-in, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

 

Day 2: Guangzhou City Tour

 

Today, enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Guangzhou.

 

In the morning, visit the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, one of Guangzhou’s finest examples of traditional Lingnan architecture. Explore its beautifully decorated halls, courtyards, wood carvings, stone carvings, and other intricate architectural details.

 

Continue to Yuexiu Park, the largest urban park in central Guangzhou. Take a relaxing walk through the park and discover its historic landmarks and pleasant green surroundings.

 

In the afternoon, visit the Museum of the Western Han Dynasty Mausoleum of the Nanyue King, which preserves the tomb and archaeological discoveries associated with the Nanyue Kingdom. The museum offers an interesting insight into the history, culture, and burial traditions of ancient southern China.

 

Next, head to Shamian Island, a historic area known for its tree-lined streets and well-preserved European-style buildings. Take a leisurely walk around the island and explore the former European consulates and other historic architecture that reflects Guangzhou’s international past.

 

In the late afternoon, enjoy the beautiful evening view of Canton Tower, one of Guangzhou’s most recognizable modern landmarks.

 

Day 3: Guangzhou – Meizhou

 

In the morning, take a bullet train from Guangzhou to Meizhou. Reference train: G6353, 10:42–14:17 (approximately 3 hours 35 minutes).

 

Upon arrival in Meizhou, meet your local guide and begin your Hakka cultural experience. Visit a Hakka Round House Cluster and learn more about the distinctive traditional architecture and cultural heritage of the Hakka people. Meizhou is widely known as an important ancestral homeland of Hakka communities around the world.

 

In the evening, enjoy a Hakka-style dinner at your own expense and have some free time to explore Meizhou.

 

Day 4: Meizhou Hakka Village Tour

 

In the morning, travel to Lingxia Village in Dapu County, where you will explore the historic village and discover traditional Hakka houses and local architecture.

 

Continue to visit Huaelou Building, a distinctive traditional Hakka building with architectural features similar to the famous Hakka Tulou of Fujian. Take time to appreciate its unique structure and learn more about the traditional lifestyle and architectural heritage of the Hakka people.

 

After sightseeing, return to Meizhou city in the late afternoon.

 

Day 5: Meizhou – Guangzhou

 

In the morning, take a bullet train back to Guangzhou.

 

In the afternoon, enjoy some shopping at one of Guangzhou’s famous wholesale markets. You can also visit Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street, one of the city’s historic and bustling commercial areas, known for its traditional architecture, shops, local snacks, and lively atmosphere.

 

Day 6: Guangzhou Departure

 

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Guangzhou Airport or railway station according to your departure schedule. Your Guangzhou and Meizhou Hakka culture tour ends here.
