D1: Beijing arrival
Today you and your family will arrive in Beijing, the ancient capital of China with over thousand years’ history. Receive a warm welcome from our guide and then transfer to hotel, and you also learn your first Chinese“ Nin Hao ” for greeting.
D2: Beijing: the Forbidden City, ancient Hutong, ride rickshaw, draw opera facial mask and Night show
After breakfast, you and your family will explore the mysterious palace of Chinese emperors, the Forbidden City, which boasts having 9999 rooms and could be the biggest palace in the world. It’s so fascinating, ancient, classic and amazing that people all over the world want to have a closer look. Then, we will also walk around in the heart of China, Tian’anmen Square. It is the most famous symbol of China with magnificent architecture. People in there are very friendly.
In the afternoon, you could take kids walk on the old Beijing Hutong, surrounded by traditional courtyard houses, where riding rickshaw will be an interesting activity for all of you to feel the atmosphere of old Beijing. Afterwards, you will have a hands-on experience to draw Beijing Opera Facial Masks. On the white facial mask, you can paint any type of opera role including sheng, dan, jing, and chou roles that respectively represent four kinds of people.
Note: Night shows, such as the Kung fu Show and the Acrobatic Show is well-prepared for you and your families and you could choose amazing one you like for you to watch or have a rest. It is no doubt that the excellent acting all down the line will attract any one who watches it.
D3: Beijing: the Great Wall, Summer Palace, and Beijing Roast Duck
Drive to Mutianyu Great Wall with less-crowded visitors and non-steep climbing, which is suitable and comfortable for family excursion. You will be impressed by its beautiful surroundings - dense woods and rich pastures changing colors with the seasons of a year. If you want to reach the highest point, cable car is a good choice (optional).
In the afternoon, visit the Summer Palace, the best-preserved imperial garden. Take a boat on the lake and appreciate the beautiful scenery, which could bring you inner peace during the period of leaving from the busy work.
For dinner, the most famous food, Beijing Roast Duck is waiting for you. You and your family will have it, the sweet and crisp skin, the succulency and tender flesh. It tastes fantastic. I'm sure you and your kids will enjoy the dinner.
D4: Beijing: Heaven Temple, the Echo wall and departure to Xi’an
In the morning, you and your family will walk around in the quiet and wide Heaven Temple, used to worship emperor's ancestors and pray for a harvest season. Among the uniquely constructed temples stands the Echo Wall, where you could play a game of whispering with your children and hear your voices bounce back on the other side.
After lunch, take flight to Xi'an.
D5: Xi’an: Terracotta Army, City Wall, and Night Show
First go to the most important spot, the Terra cotta museum. There you and your family will watch the unique faces of soldiers in vivid details from very close distance. Later, you will have an opportunity to make a terra cotta figurine with your own hands, taking it back home as a memorable souvenir. What’s more, wear ancient-style uniform of military soldiers, glimpsing the ancient civilization of China. Take Photos to record all of these unforgettable memories.
After lunch, you and your family will have a relaxing walk on Xi'an's City Wall and have a nice view of the city, mainly the ancient architecture. Along the high wall runs a shimmering river reflecting the blue skies and the green, overhanging trees of a small grove by the waters' edge.
After dinner, it is highly recommended to watch the show Dream Back to Tang Dynasty, which will show you and your family the prosperous, dynamic and great era, feeling the different culture flavor.
D6: Xi’an: Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Flight to Chengdu
After breakfast, you and your family will travel to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a wonderful symbol of the city. Built in the Tang Dynasty,the square pyramid stands at 60 meters high and seven-story tall. What a beautiful scenery you will view.
In the afternoon, take flight to Chengdu.
D7: Chengdu: Panda base, Calligraphy Learning and Jinli Street
Head for the Giant Panda Breeding and Research Center in the suburb, just 10 kms north to Chengdu, where you and your family can see the lovely pandas making various funny movements in eating and playing, also it is a good chance to take picture for them.
After lunch, you and your family will go to one of local culture center, where we arrange a Calligraphy Learning with local Chinese teacher. It is a magic skill to handle the soft bush in your hand. 2 hours’ learning is not enough, but we believe it will be a good beginning for you learning this oriental culture. And then taste the special Sichuan snacks, and explore some meaningful souvenir such as panda pendants and T-shirts with panda pattern on the Jinli Old Street.
At night, enjoy the most special Sichuan food: Hot pot. It is interesting to look at the various expressions on kids’ faces while trying to taste the food first time.
D8: Chengdu: Sichuan cuisine museum, Wide and Narrow Alley and flight to Shanghai
In the morning, meet the cuisine masters in the Sichuan cuisine museum and prepare for the cuisine-learning course. Next, you will have a chance to cook by yourselves. You would gain fulfillment while eating the food you cooking by yourself. Surely, it is also an exciting activity for children.
In the afternoon, take subway to the Kuanxiangzi street, which is a beautiful old style street in Chengdu. You and your family will walk around in the Wide and Narrow Alley for leisure, and explore various traditional culture and classic buildings of Sichuan.
In the late afternoon, take a flight to Shanghai.
D9: Shanghai: Shanghai Museum, Yu Garden, oriental pearl tower and the bund and Nanjing Road
Morning we will first go to the Shanghai Museum, a large museum of ancient Chinese art and the creation of 12 showrooms, including bronzes, ceramics, calligraphy, paintings, jade teeth, wood lacquer about 21 categories. Next station is Yu Garden, located in the heart of Shanghai's Huangpu District, built in 1559, Ming Dynasty, full of classical Chinese garden architecture and design. A great number of weapons, home-made coins and announcements used by the dagger association are on display in the spring hall of the garden.
Lunch is special shanghai cuisine.
Afternoon you will visit the famous landmark oriental pearl tower and the bund, and hold children’s hands walking on the Nanjing Road, where there is full of shops and all kinds of fashionable stuff, where crowds of people buy local snacks, handicrafts, antiques, and souvenirs.
D10: Shanghai: Visit Jade Buddha Temple and departure
In the morning, for the last attraction, the Jade Buddha Temple will bring you the different experience. The temple is quite, cultural and classic, although it is situated in the centre of city. With all the halls and columns, eye-catching mural paintings, shining jewelry and jade ware, and gold and silver Buddha figures in various postures, this Jade Buddha temple is really a world of splendor.
In the afternoon, our guide will escort you and your family to take flight. Depart from Shanghai.
