Your guide in Chengdu will take you to Mengdingshan mountain in about 1.5 hours’ driving on the express way.
Mt. Mengdingshan is the origin of tea in China with the earliest record of planting tea. And we will have a lecture of picking up tea and planting tea from local farmer, and then follow him to pick up tea. And we will also learn how to fire the tea in the pot with local villager. Enjoy a local lunch with tea food today.

In the afternoon, you can continue to hike on the tea mountain as optional program, there a few old tea trees with thousands of years’ history. And you can also walk around in local tea trading market after the tea tour in the mountain. And it is a good chance to buy fresh green tea here.
Drive to Shangli old town in the late afternoon in 30 minutes’ driving. Shangli Old Town used to be important station during the trade of horse and Tea between Chinese Hand people and Tibetan. It is a good place to relax us, drinking tea, painting the old stone bridge, wooden house, etc.

Enjoy the quietness of the countryside in the early morning, and then we will head for Bifengxia Panda Garden in 30 minutes’ driving.
Enjoy the quietness of the countryside in the early morning, and then we will head for Bifengxia Panda Garden in 30 minutes’ driving.There are about 50 to 60 pandas in the wide Bifengxia Panda Garden. Be careful, they may just hide on the tree over your head! It is really a enjoyable thing to watch the pandas eating and playing. The most amazing is that you can even hold a panda in your arms for picture by donating some money to the panda base.
After the tour in Bifengxia garden, you can make about 2 hours’ hiking tour in this beautiful park, and you can enjoy beautiful waterfall, rocks, bridge.
In the late afternoon drive to Leshan in about one hour. Night in local hotel.
D3 Leshan Giant Buddha / Paper Making Tour / Chengdu ( Breakfast, Lunch )
After breakfast, your tour guide will show you the wonder of ‘ Buddha is the hill and the hill is a Buddha ’ at the other side of Minjiang river. And then we will walk up the Leshan Giant Buddha and then we will walk down the zigzagging trail along the side of Buddha, from it is head to shoulder, and from leg to foot. It is also a good place to view Leshan city cross the joint of Minjiang River, Dadu River and Qingyi River. China Exploration always wants to show its clients the local favored food, so the Doufu banquet, also called bean curd meals will be arranged this lunch.
Paper is the great invention of ancient Chinese, and it will be an amazing experience to watch the traditional way of making paper. So we will head for one of the village still making paper in traditional way this afternoon. And you have the chance to experience making paper yourself.Drive back Chengdu in the late afternoon.
