2 Days Dujiangyan Dam Tour with Giant Panda Volunteer Works
Sichuan is the hometown of Giant panda, and many panda research bases, nature reserves are scattered in this beautiful land, such as Wolong, Bifengxia, Chengdu, Dujiangyan, etc. The newly built Dujiangyan Giant Panda Breeding Research Base is turning out to be a nice place for people experience the panda volunteer works due to its convenient transportation of within 2 hours driving.

Day 1 Chengdu - Dujiangyan - Qingchengshan ( Lunch, Dinner )
Your driver and guide will pick-up you at hotel at 8:00 am, and then you will drive to Dujiagnyan Dam in about 2 hours. The ancient Dujiangyan dam is over 2000 years old and still in function today. It is amazing to see how the ancient Chinese make full use of local topography to built this magic dam as well as irrigation system. Yuzhui, Feishayan, Baopingkou, Jingangdi, etc, every part of the project is playing important role in the works. And you can also walk on the Hanging Anlan bridge, Erwang Temple.
In the afternoon you will hike on the sacred Taoism mountain, Qingchengshan. As the original place of Taoism, the only Chinese religion, Qingchengshan possesses long history and temples of Taosim. Master Zhangdaoling planted the Ginkgo tree here 2000 years ago. It is a good place to know this traditional Chinese culture as well as make a SPA of oxygen due to its dense forest. You will take cable car up the Shangqing palace, and then walk down the mountain in about 2-3 hours via Tianshidong, also called the cave of heaven master.

Day 2 Dujiangyan Panda Base / Chengdu ( Breakfast, Lunch)
Today we recommend you to get up early to do morning exercise in the quiet and clean forest near your hotel, sometimes you can even learn Taiji with local people.
After breakfast, you will head for the Dujiangyan Giant Panda Research Base close to Qingchengshan mountain. Local staff will welcome you and then show you around in the wide panda garden , and then start your volunteer work today. Local staff will give you a short lecture of the panda, and then feed the panda, and you will also learn how to prepare the food for the giant panda, and in the afternoon you will also watch a scientific movie about pandas.
About 3:30 pm, your volunteer works will be completed, and then your driver will send you back Chengdu in about 1.5 hour . End of the tour.
