Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Center
The Panda Garden in Chengdu, formally named as Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base Institue, could be the top one attractions in Chengdu. The giant pandas are not only a Chinese national treasure but are also beloved by people the world over. They are found only in Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu provinces. In total there are fewer than 1000, of which 80% are distributed within the territory of Sichuan province. Therefore, when visitors from home and abroad come to Chengdu, Sichuan Province one of their main objectives will be to see the giant pandas for themselves.
Located just 10km (6miles) away from downtown Chengdu, the Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Center has been created and imitated the pandas' natural habitat in order that they might have the best possible environment for rearing and breeding. The Center cares also for other rare and endangered wild animals. The Research Center covers an area of 560 mus (92 acres), 96% of which is verdure. Giant pandas, lesser pandas, black-necked cranes, white storks as well as over 20 species of rare animals are fed and bred there throughout the year. Verdant bamboo, bright flowers, fresh air, a natural hill scene and a beautiful artificial view are merged ingeniously at the base.
The necessary facilities for giant pandas have been completed and include a fodder room, sleeping quarters and a medical station. Additionally there is a Giant Panda Museum together with research laboratories and a training center. A great number of plants and as many as ten thousand clumps of bamboos and bushes have been cultivated to provide for the giant pandas' diet 
and habitat. The center is planning to expand by another 3000 mus (500 acres) of land on which to simulate a natural environment order to prepare the giant pandas bred at the center for release into the wild.

The Giant Panda Museum was opened in 1993 to further scientific education and to improve public awareness of the protection of both wild creatures and their environment.
This is the world's only thematic museum for rare and endangered animal species. The three main exhibitions are in the Giant Panda Hall, the Butterfly Hall and the Vertebrate Hall. The exhibits include all kinds of precious pictures, more than 800 materials and show more than 2140 different samples gathered in Sichuan. These include examples of animals, birds, amphibians, reptiles and insects as well as fossils and models. The resources held in store at the museum include up to ten thousand samples as well as a library of thousands of books and documents.
This excellent and comprehensive museum provides a wonderful venue for all who are interested in seeing something of the propagation and protection of the region's natural bio-diversity.

Chengdu Giant Panda Museum was founded in 1992. In August 2019, the new museum began to be exhibited and opened officially to the public on March 3, 2021. It is an international and modern museum with the functions of science popularization, public education, exhibition, exhibits collection, protection and academic research.
The theme of the whole museum design embodies the spirit of "harmony between man, giant panda and nature". Through interactive experience, scene restoration and immersion tour, you can understand the living status of rare animals such as giant pandas while visiting and entertaining, stimulate the awareness of environmental protection and animal protection, enlighten the spirit of scientific exploration and improve the scientific literacy of the public.
Chengdu Giant Panda Museum has a building area of 7,179 square meters and an exhibition area of 4,342 square meters. It is divided into seven main exhibition areas: panda prequel, bamboo hermit, panda discovery, endangered age, protection road, ecological home and creating the future. It has a 3D cinema and a dome cinema, and is the first interactive experience museum with the theme of giant pandas in the world.
Panda Science Discovery Museum:
Covering an area of about 1,000 square meters, the Panda Science Discovery Museum presents panda's research work and fruitful achievements to Chinese and foreign tourists from a scientific and professional point of view with six themes: Overview of Panda Research Base, Mysterious Panda, Panda's Love and Marriage, Panda's Genetic Exploration, Cradle of Life and Panda and its Partners.
In terms of display carrier and display mode, the latest international display design concept and high-tech display mode are introduced, with multimedia display as the main mode and large-scale display board as the auxiliary mode. With 40 touch screens, visitors are introduced to the knowledge of giant panda reproduction, genetics, nutrition, endocrinology and so on.
Visitors only need to touch it lightly, and the multimedia computer display screen with rich information will vividly show the mystery of giant panda in front of them. At the same time, the museum also pays special attention to tourists' psychological needs of "exploring secrets", integrates knowledge and interest, and adds a lot of interactive and participatory content in order to achieve the effect of "educating through entertaining".
Panda Tower:
Panda Tower is 69.8 meters high with 9 floors. Towers have mushroomed, and the floor space is guided by hibiscus flowers. Panda Tower is a new commanding height in Chengdu, overlooking the whole of Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.
It is a new landmark building in Chengdu and a punching place in online celebrity, opposite to "339" and facing the Twin Towers in the financial city from north to south, forming a pattern that "there are Twin Towers in the south and Panda Towers in the north" complement each other.
