Day 1: Shenzhen | OCT East – Tea Valley – Dongmen Old Street – Diwang Observation Deck
After breakfast, your private guide and driver will meet you at your hotel in Shenzhen and drive to OCT East, a large eco-tourism and leisure resort in Shenzhen’s scenic Yantian District. The journey takes you from the modern city center into an area surrounded by mountains, forests, and landscaped scenery.
Begin your visit in the Grand Canyon, where lush greenery, waterfalls, gardens, and mountain scenery create a refreshing natural environment. Take a leisurely walk through the scenic area and enjoy the peaceful surroundings away from the bustle of downtown Shenzhen.
Continue to Tea Valley, a picturesque area that combines tea culture with European-inspired landscapes. Stroll among the tea plantations, gardens, and lakes, and visit the Ancient Tea Town to learn more about traditional Chinese tea culture and the role of tea in everyday life.
You can also enjoy a ride on the Interlaken Express, a scenic sightseeing train offering views of the surrounding mountains, valleys, and landscaped areas. The combination of tea gardens and alpine-style scenery makes this one of the more distinctive experiences at OCT East.
In the late afternoon, return to downtown Shenzhen and explore Dongmen Old Street, one of the city’s historic commercial areas.
