Sichuan Silk Museum, situated in the commercial block of history and culture in Ertaizi, Xindu District has recently opened to the public. The museum consists of seven venues, namely, Prologue, Origin, Ancient Silk, Contemporary Silk, Green Silk, Silk Dance and Silk Experience, revealing China’s silk in Han Dynasty, Tang Dynasty, Qing Dynasty and modern China, four important periods for the development of Chinese’ silk art.
One official from Xindu District says that the Silk Museum is conducive to preserving and passing on Sichuan’s silk culture. At the mean time, it helps boosting Xindu’s development of Western Music-and-culture Corridor and forging a high-end industry center in Chengdu-Deyang-Mianyang economic zone.
