Hello Jason, Since already 2 weeks we are back at home and I will give you some comments about our trip to Sichuan/Yading. The trip was really very nice and interesting for all of us and we got a very good preparation and assistance from your side. This is the opinion of all of us, Thank you very much. I think you are interested on some detailed comments: The program was well designed and I agree with you, that the trek is more easy starting from Muli than from Yading because you are more acclimatized. There is also another point, if you start from Yading than you are already in 1 day in between all of the fantastic mountains. And than there is no more surprise on the following days. Starting from Muli every day you will have new impressions and the mountains are coming slowly slowly. For the free day in Lugu Lake I would suggest a tour around the lake (for half a day) with the bus because it is a very beautiful landscape and the lake looks very different from the different directions. Muli and especially Muli temple were beautiful and Mr. Shu is really a very nice person and he gave us a lot of assistance. Unfortunately he started back to home very early in the morning and I didn’t have the possibility to say Goodby. Maybe you have an email or postage address, so I can send my Thanks to him. To go out from Yading to Daocheng was a little bit exciting due to the problems with the local people. I hope that the problems between wishes of the local people and political interests can be solved as soon as possible. It is interesting that years ago we had the same discussions in our country between business and preservation of the nature. In the meantime the preservation of the nature is more important but in the past the business aspect had priority. Tagong for me was an amazing place, I could spend there also some more days. Unfortunately it was not possible to go to Danba and Wolong due the road problem. But the trip to ShangLi was very nice and also the visit to the Panda breathing center in Chengdu. Concerning the accommodations, all the Hotels and Guest houses were nice with 1 exception. The Hotel in Litang was horrible, dirty rooms, dirty bed and dirty bathroom, no water, toilet not working, no towels etc. Also the ladies there unfriendly………… I don’t know, how are the other Hotels in Litang but I would suggest to cancel this hotel from your list. Just as an information, in Muli temple there is a very new builded guesthouse, very nice and very clean. Our guides were good, very friendly and helping us every time. The only suggestion I could give to Kevin is the following; sometimes he was to far from us ( before or behind) so that the way was not always clear. This is not a problem as long as the weather is ok ( and during our trek the weather was always ok) but it could become a problem if the weather is changing. So we enjoyed the trip very much and again many thank for your service and assistance. I told you already that I’m interested in a trip to Kham, my idea is a tour from Lanzhou to Chengdu. I have seen some itineraries but this we can discuss later. You told me that you are very busy at the moment so I hope you will have a good time and good work. Thank you again Best Regards Siegi |

Hi Jason,
How are you? I was the tour leader for the overland trip from Kathmandu to Bishkek. I have now arrived back in UK and have time to write this email.
I just wanted to send an email stating how impressed I was with the local guides supplied by your company for our trip. Both Vannessa and Pochong were absolutely outstanding in their work. Even though neither of them had done a Dragoman trip before, they both fitted into the group extremely well and understood our style of travel very quickly. Not only were they very friendly and helpful to both the crew and the passengers, but their organisational skills and professionalism made my life alot easier.
I would like to request that whenever possible, both Vanessa and Pochong are used as the local guides for any of our trip in China. Please pass on this email to Pochong as unfortunately I do not have his email address.
Thanks again for all your working in organising our trip and I wish you every success in the future.
Best regards
