Chengdu and Chongqing are neighbor brothers in Sichuan basin, therefore both of the city possess similar ancient culture and folklore but unique landscape of plain and mountain. And they all believe in Buddhism and hot in rock carving of Buddha, Leshan, Anyue and Dazu are concentrated various interesting rocking carving statue 1000 years ago, most of them are still well reserved, some of them is already hot in tourist, and some of them are still hiding in unknown villages.  
       In this rock carving tours, you will explore the various rocking carving memorizing their glorious time of Buddhism, Taoism and Tang Song dynasty life, and you will also enjoy local life and delicious food.
 
Itinerary:
D1 Chengdu
Arrive in Chengdu today. And you can make city tours accordingly. Chengdu is one of the ancient cultural city in China, Kuanxiangzi old street, Jingli Old street, Bamboo Garden, Wuhou temple,  are all famous attractions in Chengdu.
 
D2 Chengdu / Panda / Leshan /Chengdu
In the morning your tour guide in Chengdu will pick up you at your hotel, and then head for the Giant Panda Breeding and Research Center in the suburb, just 10 kms north to Chengdu, where you can see the lovely pandas making various funny movement in eating and playing. It is a good chance to take picture of them when you walk in this wide garden of bamboo. What a pleasant experience.
After the visit of Panda Base, your driver will drive to Leshan city in about 2 hours on the express way. The Leshan Giant Buddha Statue is carved on the big Lingyun mountain facing the joint of Dadu, Minjiang, and Qingyi river. You will explore the largest rock carving in the world. It is said  "Buddha is the hill and the hill is a Buddha".
In the late afternoon you will back Chengdu city.
 
D3 Chengdu / Anyue   150Kms, Driving 2 hrs
In the morning you will head to Anyue county in 2 hours’ driving. Enjoy the landscape of Sichuan plain en route.
In the afternoon you will visit the rock carvings west of Anyue city. Firstly from Wofo Sleeping Temple, which will show you the giant statue of Sleeping Buddha. And then you will head to Qianfo Village, which will display thousands of Buddha carvings.  
You can also drop a visit in local villages in Anyue, where is the largest countryside planting Lemon trees. In the late afternoon you will head to the city of Anyue for night.
 
D4 Anyue / Dazu     85Kms, Driving 2 hrs
In the morning you will explore the Yuanjue Cave firstly, which is very close to the city, also well reserved and tourism developed.
In the afternoon you will continue eastward to other two famous spots, Mingshan Temple and Pilu Cave, which are small temples in located in traditional Chinese villages,  but the exquisite carved Buddha statues are just hidden here, and the Computer Game of Black Wukong also take some background here. And the Purple Bamboo Guanyin Buddha has the reputation of oriental Venus.
In the late afternoon you will head to Dazu city for night.
 
D5 Dazu / Chongqing   104Km， Driving 2.5 hrs
Dazu is more known in rock carving as the registered heritage of UNESCO. In the morning you will visit the Beishan hill area close to the city.  And then you will head to Baodingshan area, the core of Dazu rock carving reserve. You will enjoy more and larger scale of rock carving here.
In the late afternoon you will head to Chongqing city, night in local hotel.
 
D6 Chongqing City Tours
As the newly hot tour city on social media, you should not miss Chongqing.In the morning you will enjoy the wonder of metro traveling through the apartment building in Liziba, and then you will head to Chiqikou old street will display the traditional of street of old Chongqing.
In the afternoon you will visit the beautiful building of the Great Hall of Chongqing, also drop a tour in Three Gorge Museum, where you will know how the three gorges area developed.

In the afternoon you will head to Hongyadong cave to enjoy the beautiful night of Chongqing mountian city.  Enjoy a delicious hot pot dinner today.
