Its highest point at Badaling is some 800 meters above sea level. A well-known popular saying goes: ‘He who hasn’t been to Great Wall is not a true man’. Located in Yan Qing northwest of Beijing. It was built in the beginning of Ming Dynasty and was a special section of the Ming Great Wall. As an important Pass, Ba Da Ling Great Wall means getting to all the directions in English. The total length is 4500 meters. Many beacon towers, watch towers add more magnificence to the Great Wall.

Your Beijing day tour begins with a hotel pickup between 7:00 am and 8:30 am. From your hotel, drive for approximately 1 hour to Tian’anmen Square, one of the most iconic landmarks in Beijing and one of the world’s largest public squares. Spend about 40 minutes sightseeing and taking in the impressive surroundings.
From Tian’anmen Square, walk to the Forbidden City, the largest and best-preserved ancient imperial palace complex in China. Enter through the historic gates and explore the magnificent palaces, courtyards, and ceremonial halls along the central north-south axis. Your visit to the Forbidden City will take approximately 2 hours.
Afterward, drive for about 1 hour to Changping District. Before lunch, enjoy a 45-minute visit to a jade carving factory. Chinese jade carving is a famous traditional handicraft, combining exquisite carving techniques with the rich symbolism and cultural traditions of China. This short visit offers an opportunity to learn more about the history and cultural significance of jade in Chinese society.
Then, enjoy a traditional Chinese lunch at Jindian Restaurant.
After lunch, continue your journey with a 30-minute drive to the Badaling Great Wall, the most famous and one of the best-preserved sections of the Great Wall near Beijing. Located in a mountainous area, Badaling reaches approximately 800 meters above sea level at its highest point. Walk along the ancient fortifications and enjoy impressive views of the surrounding mountains.
A cable car is available as an optional service, providing a more convenient way to reach the higher sections of the Great Wall.
On the return journey to Beijing, stop for a short visit to learn about traditional Chinese medicine and its cultural heritage. Afterward, you will be transferred back to your hotel, concluding your Beijing sightseeing tour.
