Terms And Condition
Reservation and Deposit:
A deposit of 30% per person (including a US $50.00/ pp non-refundable planning and operation fee) is due within seven calendar days of booking. Receipt of the deposit by China Exploration confirms your reservation and is applied toward your final payment. Payment may be made by bank transaction or credit card. (Credit card charges are subject to a 3.5% surcharge)
Final Payment:
Final payment in the form of bank transaction is due 20 days prior to departure or pay cash when you arrive in China.(credit card charges for final payments are subject to a 3.5% surcharge).
Cancellation:
Cancellations must be made in a written format. If we receive cancellations 50 days prior to departure, we must charge an additional $50 expedition fee per person. Within 50 days, the following schedule applies:
30-49 days 50% of the deposit;
10-29 days 70% of the deposit;
10 days or less or no show 100% of the deposit.
There will be no partial refunds for unused segments of the land program (including hotels, meals, domestic flights and trains, cruises, and sightseeing). Flights changed or canceled following issuance of tickets are subject to additional fees.
Health Requirements
For passenger safety and enjoyment, you should be in good physical condition to participate in all tours. Cruise ships and destinations in China do not have facilities to accommodate wheelchairs or physically challenged passengers.
For the Tibet tour, due to the extreme high altitude, a doctor's certificate is recommended stating that the traveler is fit to travel and his / her blood pressure and heart condition is normal.
Travel Protection Plan:
We strongly encourage you to obtain travel insurance in your own country. China Exploration also offers travel injury insurance from Ping An of China, and all the refund terms are subject to the terms of Ping An of China.
China Visa:
All visitors to China must possess a Chinese visa prior to departure from their countries. Your passport must be valid for six months after the date of return. Please contact the nearest Chinese consulate office in your area or look for help from visa agent near you.
China Exploration offers free service of invitation letter for your visa application when needed.
Costs:
Tour prices quoted are based on double occupancy. A single room supplement must be added for those traveling alone. The cost includes all travel services noted in the itinerary: Private round-trip transfers as per itinerary; hotels and meals as listed; fully escorted private sightseeing daily with bilingual escort; private car and driver; 5-star Superior Deluxe category Yangtze River cruise aboard the Orient Royal Cruise Lines (or equivalent level); all admissions and fees; and baggage handling.
Tour costs do not include airport taxes, personal incidentals such as phone calls, room service, mini-bar beverages, and tips and gratuities for guides and drivers.
Changes In Itinerary:
China Exploration will make every effort to provide all the trips described in your itinerary. However, circumstances can arise (i.e. bad weather) which may require an adjustment to the tour. We will do all that is possible to avoid such changes, but we must reserve the right to make such modifications if they are determined to be necessary.
Complaints:
In the unlikely event that you feel dissatisfaction with aspect of your holiday arrangement we ask you to bring this to the attention of our representative at the time so that the matter may be resolved right away. All efforts to rectify your complaint will be made on the spot whilst you are at your resort. By informing our local service provider/tour guide, they will be able to assist in rectifying your grievance with minimal disruption to yourself and enable you to enjoy your stay. If the matter cannot be put right on the spot you must ask our representative for a Holiday Report Form which you must then complete in his or her presence. One copy will be given to you and the other copy sent to head office. If you remain dissatisfied, you must write to us within 15 days of return from your holiday. Any complaint concerned with the arrangements for your holiday will be dealt with carefully and fairly by our staff.
Force Majeure:
In case either Party suffers force-majeure circumstances (unforeseen, inevitable, or uncontrollable), as a result of which obligations under the confirmed terms cannot be fulfilled, the Parties shall be exonerated from their obligations without having to pay compensation for the damage to the other Party.
Settlement of disputes and disagreements:
All disputes and disagreements are to be settled by the way of talks. In case disputes and disagreements are not settled, they are subject to the hearing in China Arbitration Court in accordance with Rules of the Court. Decisions of the Arbitration Court are final and binding upon both Parties.
