China Danxia Landscape was inscribed on the World Heritage List at the World Heritage Committee's 34th meeting held in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, on August 1, 2010.
Danxia Landform is a unique type of rock landform found in southeast and southwest China that consists of "red bed characterized by steep cliffs".
The six Danxia landform areas are: Mountain Danxiashan in Guangdong Province, Mountain Chishui in Guizhou Province, Taining and Guanzhoushan in Fujian Province, Mountain Langshan and Mountain Wanfoshan in Hunan Province, Mountain Longhushan and Guifeng in Jiangxi Province, Fangyan and Mountain Jianglangshan in Zhejiang Province.
Daxia Landscape is China's eighth natural heritage site.
