The 2025 Xinjiang Tourism Development Conference was successfully held in Kuqa City
On May 25, the 2025 Xinjiang Tourism Development Conference and the
2025 Xinjiang International Travel Agents Conference was successfully held in Kuqa City, Aksu Region, Xinjiang. Guests from all of China and abroad countries gathered at the Kuqa Hotel to celebrate the grand event of Xinjiang culture and tourism and discuss the development of Xinjiang culture and tourism.
The Conference is co-hosted by the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, with the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Culture and Tourism Department and the Aksu Prefecture Administrative Office as the organizers. During the conference, the' Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Culture and Tourism Industry Cluster Development Plan (2025-2030) 'was released. The plan sets clear goals for Xinjiang's tourism development over the next six years: by 2030, the total annual number of tourists will exceed 400 million; the comprehensive revenue of the culture, tourism, and sports industry in Xinjiang will reach 1 trillion yuan, with the total income from these sectors reaching 190 billion yuan, 520 billion yuan, and 290 billion yuan, respectively. Additionally, the added value of the culture, tourism, and related industries will account for 10% of the region's GDP.
According to the Plan, Xinjiang will center on Urumqi City, linking the Altai,
Tianshan, and Kunlun Mountain cultural and tourism belts. It aims to establish four regional centers in Yili Prefecture, Kashgar Region, Altay Region, and Turpan City, while connecting key nodes such as Changji Prefecture, Bayingolin Prefecture, Aksu Region, and Hotan Region. The plan focuses on a spatial development pattern of 'one core, three belts, four centers, and multiple nodes' for the cultural and tourism industry cluster, with a focus on developing three major advantageous industrial chains: culture, tourism, and sports.
Mr. Jason Huang, CEO of China Exploration, general manager of Chengdu Jason Tour Co. Ltd, was invited by the Xinjiang Department of Culture and Tourism to attend the conference as a representative of China domestic travel agencies. On the conference Mr. Jason Huang was interviewed by China Xinhua News Agency. Jason said, "Transportation in Xinjiang is more convenient, accommodation conditions are much better, and scenic spots are more abundant."
